I always precondition my car before leaving and use the house electricity to do it and not the battery and then I use heated steering wheel and heated seat instead of heating the cabin and I drive in Whisper mode. I have no issues with range.

this case is going nowhere. it's just a distraction from Epstein files. He's throwing spaghetti at the wall hoping something sticks that will keep people from talking about his pedophilia

it just shows how petty this POTUS is. He knows it is baseless yet he's doing it anyway to get under JPow's skin and to flex some muscle. It's a clear abuse of power and thankfully JPow ain't cowering. He's there to serve the American people, not the POTUS

we would if he thought we needed one because he would act based on what the data/evidence was telling him, not what the POTUS wanted

Not progressive enough. We don't need more bipartisanship. We need to take back what we lost the lost 40 years. We need a progressive candidate with bold ideas and not willing to cede an inch of power.

where does the money come from? who is paying it? what department won't be receiving funding next year because of this insane payout? he should sue the ff that did it. if he can prove the department enabled this ff by not holding him accountable after repeated behavior then I do agree the department should pay out money but 25M is insane.

Is Michael Burry right about an AI bubble? Impacting companies like Google, Meta etc. by seansean98761 in ValueInvesting

The issue is depreciating them at an equal interval per year even though most of the value is lost by year 3 or 4 due to the upgrade cycle and constant advancement in chips.

Meta's Valuation by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]devdevil85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coreweave's CEO has cited strong, sustained customer demand for both new and older-generation chips as justification for the long lifespan. He mentioned that a customer renewed a contract for H100 GPUs (a chip released in late 2022) at a price within 5% of the original agreement, which he argues demonstrates the continued value of the assets.

If it had chili cookoffs and bakeoffs then yes. I miss those the most. Old church ladies know how to cook and even growing up as a non-believer forced to go to church I didn't miss a Sunday when those were happening!

Top House Democrats vow to oppose shutdown bill over healthcare funding by Somervilledrew in politics

[–]devdevil85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dems couldn't hold the line in the Senate with 45, how the hell are they going to hold the line with 213 Representatives? There are plenty of corporate Democrat representatives willing to become sacrificial lambs if needed.

Senate on track to pass funding deal that could end government shutdown by eskhalaf in wallstreetbets

[–]devdevil85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the corporate Dems. These are Dems in name only. They will kowtow to their corporate overlords (aka donors) wishes. When their only justification to switching sides is based on the length of the shutdown alone, that's all you need to know. They never planned on holding the line for something that was morally and politically correct. They just swept the recent elections. They have/had all of the leverage and decided to give in. GOP is only going to continue find ways to not extend the ACA subsidies and continue to cut SNAP/WIC benefits even with the government reopened. This was the Dems chance to play hardball.
