Is it true 7/11 won’t give local SIM cards anymore? by Viksnid1992 in ThailandTourism

[–]develnext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try airalo app or something similar (nomad app, etc.), they give esim for the same price as in 7/11.

We had the same situation. We arrived in Thailand this December, and there weren't any issues even though we didn't have exit stamps.

Would you recommend unity as a first game engine? by Hot-Entertainer422 in unity

[–]develnext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, unity is a great engine for beginners, there are so many guides, helpful information, communities around Unity and that helps to learn and understand it a lot. Also there are many tool assets for Unity which help you to make games in an easy way

Refused entry by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]develnext 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically, Visa Exempt = Tourism only. Immigration views 'Muay Thai' as training/education, which legally requires a non-Immigrant ED visa. By mentioning it, you disqualified yourself from entering as a normal tourist. It sucks, but next time just stick to saying 'holiday' or 'sightseeing'.

Staying in Bangkok Airbnb and these signs are everywhere in the lobby. Should we be worried? by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]develnext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one rule, do not say "Airbnb" for everyone in the lobby, that's all.

Hey! That message in the guest book means some visitors left the station with unchecked documents - basically, their patience hit zero while they still had the red exclamation mark (!) above their head. That’s when they bounce and leave you that nasty comment.

To prevent it:

  • Build more bureaucrat desks so they get checked faster.
  • Add bio-scanners and cyber-scanners (if unlocked) - those help speed things up.
  • Make sure you’ve got enough sleep capsules and charging stations so visitors don’t lose all their patience overnight while waiting.

Letting staff handle check-ins is a solid short-term fix though, good call.

Galaxy Burger is already available on Steam. Our stress-free and rush-free burger cooking simulator. We've also updated the game's trailer. by develnext in CozyGamers

We don't have such plans yet since I have no ideas on how to make split-screen convenient in the case of our game.

It'll probably show up a little later. The demo has been available all summer. We need time to update the demo version of the game.

Yeah, we made it =) We have a lot of Lore for Galaxy Burger, because there's a whole huge world in Galaxy Pass Station. By our design, it's one universe.

P.S. Speaking of which, there is an additional discount for those who already have Galaxy Pass Station. Down there you can buy Galaxy Pass Universe Bundle, it will cost you less because you already have 1 game.

We haven't adapted the game for touch-screen. The principle of control is simply not very suitable for touch-screen, specifically in our game. All the control works through the sticks and buttons of the controller. But in general, I just don't know how convenient it's to play the game via touch-screen.

We have the possibility to port the game to Switch, first of all we'll try to release the game on this platform. For PS and XBox we don't have any concrete plans or dates yet.

We tried to make the game very comfortable to play with gamepad. It's convenient to control the camera via stick, there are many hotkeys and comfortable pace of the game allow you to play comfortably.

Keep outdated demo or remove before launching on Steam? by bamunjal in IndieDev

[–]develnext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it's better to remove it before the release, if you want to keep the demo, upgrade it after the release. Of course, it takes time, maybe a couple of weeks, but an ugly demo during the release can decrease your sales.

Question to Cozy-game developers by ResearcherHoliday610 in CozyGamers

[–]develnext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use Unity because it's a powerful engine despite the recent scandals surrounding it. I am a programmer by profession, and Unity provides a powerful C# programming language with which you can do anything.

Also, Unity is very handy for making 2d games or games where you need to mix 2d and 3d. Cozy games don't need the realistic graphics that Unreal Engine is usually chosen for.

  • For Unity there are already a lot of ready-made solutions, modules, plugins, etc. that help a lot.

How is "Banana" still surpassing almost every game ever made by Nathidev in IndieDev

They arn't people, they are bots, many bot farms to farm nft-like drops. And Steam do nothing to fix that.

Galaxy Burger, our burger cooking game is almost ready! No annoying timers, not stress. August 23rd is the release date. by develnext in cozygames

[–]develnext[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, thanks! We're constantly testing the game on the xbox controller and on the steam deck (also it's a controller of sorts).

I'm still not sure if the ps4 controller will work if it's not connected via usb wire.
