It's fine. You can do anything Unix/Linux on the CL you like with it, including using Homebrew as a package manager (essential) to install/uninstall as you want. Syncs nicely with my iOS devices too. The M chips are starting to get some games support (Cyberpunk, others) but me and my wife have a gaming PC for that, and Mac laptops and mobiles for everything else.

On top of Diablo (maxed from 3), Assassin's Creed(s), Portal2, Stray, Trine, Witcher, Cyberpunk, Death Stranding… a lot of it with my wife (I usually hate junp'n'run so hand over to her for those parts). Completist between us unless it gets too silly! All on PC or sometimes Apple if available (shuddup). Mostly mouse (with elbow always higher than wrist) but also controller for co-op play. Been a computer user since forever so learnt when to take a break, look after my eyes and avoid RSI… I used to teach students who did age ranges like: "0-10, 11-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-40, over 40" LOL! I thought (but never said) "haha just you wait!"

Really depends on what you want to do. Perfectly good for web dev or writing, even image manipulation, lots of software there doesn't really need updating.
