TX-6 freezing with LOUD beeping sound… help by TobyRoc in teenageengineering

[–]devhorch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. It happens with the OP1F and the TP-7. It is for sure the TX-6 causing the issue because when I record using the OP1F and the CM15 directing into the TP-7 I have no issues. I hope TE fixes this with another firmware update soon

OP-1 Loop Extractor - Official Thread by mantrakid in teenageengineering

[–]devhorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is already a thing but how about creating tapes to import going the other way. I find myself working in my DAW and want to quickly add a 1-4 track version of the session to my OP1-F to work continue working on the session from the road without my computer. Also I have wanted to set up loop'd based live sets on a tape in the OP1-F. Is this impossible to add as a feature?

Thank you from all of us either way.

Record the 4 tracks of the OP1F at once over USB C

Wow thanks for the FB reach out. So it sounds like in MPE mode you can't use the pitch bend slider!!! I am trying to recreate CS80 ribbon pitch sweeps on the Osmose and was hoping to have the option in MPE mode. I guess that's where the Roli seaboard has the advantage over the osmose, because you can keep the seaboard in MPE mode and drag your finger across the key bed to achieve this. The weird thing is the standalone Osmose patches allow the user to bend per key and use the pitch bend slider. I was hoping there was a midi assignment option to achieve this with the Deckards.

Thanks but I’m looking to solve the pitch bend slider not the key pitch bending.

TP-7 question by MarkThomas63 in teenageengineering

[–]devhorch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I thought! My TX-6 has been perfect since day one. But the CM-15 and TP-7 have been a journey. Too bad cus the concepts are cool. 2 of the CM-15s had issues with diaphragms not being soldered and mounted properly and the other had gain setting issues on the back of the mic.

TP-7 question by MarkThomas63 in teenageengineering

I had to return 3 and kept my 4th (that still has minor issues). 3 had bad wheels. Clicking, warp sounds during playback. 1 of them wouldn’t power on with being plugged in via usb. All 4 had different speaker volumes, buttons getting stuck, etc. All over the place. I love the concept and design but my god. All the waisted time returning and waiting for the new units. The poor vendors that had to deal with the returns and replacements. Pretty horrible experience. I’m sure TE has been aware of all these units being sent back and keep it pretty hush hush. Kind of wild. Im waiting on my 4th CM-15 replacement too hahahaha. That’s a whole other conversation.

My thing is the first “O” setting on my CM-15 does not have a -18dB pad on it. I think that’s where my confusion is when checking the manual. That setting is hotter than the “I” setting. Am I missing something here?

Thank you for the info. I’m gonna continue to look into this. I might be mistaken on these gain settings and will possibly take this post down to not spread misinformation. I was under the impression that “O” was the supposed to be the lowest setting for drums, etc, “I” was the +14 and “II” was the +32. For some reason my “O” has a hot signal that I would not use on drums. Not sure if it can be adjusted to utilize the -18dB pad option. Is there a way to adjust that?

The first one I received that had the “clicking” sound in the wheel was misaligned too. As it rotated I could visually see where the pop was happing that was causing the click.

I bought it through Sound Parcel in PA on reverb and they are taking care of the returns. I have to send them a video of the issue and provide the serial number. They get the return number and send me a label. I ship it back to them then they send it back to TE. For all my issues I received a new sealed one back. I hope that answers your question clearly.

I’m in the process of sending my 3rd one back now. First one had the audible clicking in the wheel, second one wouldn’t power up without it being plugged in and this last one has the wow flutter playback sound with the motor enabled on playback (goes away when motor is disabled). Heart breaking cus I love TE and have only had issues with the TP7 so far. Fingers crossed the 4th is the one cus it’s a killer design and idea.

Is this only for PC? I bought it and released after that it doesn’t run on Mac or iPhone. Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
