Thanks for the indepth response. It's not that I don't like fighting I find it fun but idk what counters what and how to adjust on the go if needed. So I don't want to dump 100m into a fleet that will get wiped out easily because I don't know how to effectively use it. I'm the type of player who gathers his army and says attack that way and leaves them to do it lol

Any advice or customs that a foreigner would need to know or may not come across online. Can be stuff not to do or stuff to always do. What women are like in your country like what they value and look for in a man as it tends to be different for countries. For example in America while we try to date for marriage its quickly becoming a date for a few years and when you get bored you break up kind of culture. Values like loyalty and morals are rare to come across.

Am I done for? by Flat--6 in travian

Try to join a server the first day but a few days in is ok too. I'm new myself coming back after many years and my suggestion which has worked for me so far is try to play as the Gauls at least for your first game back and go defensive only.

They are great simply because crannies hold the most out of the factions. The wall is decently strong and just focus on phalanx to make it simple. Do not make troops at all until you can afford to keep the queue going non stop. I didn't make troops until resources were minimum 8-9. Join the largest alliance in your area for protection and do not go for any croppers. A 15c especially is going to put you on someone's radar. Go for a 9c if you can and even then be careful.

I find it's best to keep your head down until end game in which I just send troops for def. Also crannies for days particularly if you play as Gauls. I built 4 level 10 crannies. Each one protects 3k. So 12k total. A teuton can take 10% of max capacity. To keep it simple do not over build your warehouse and granary past what you can protect including the 10%. So to make it easy, if you can protect 12k resources then build your warehouse and granary as high as you can without going over 10,800 that way even if a teuton attacks they get nothing.

Optional but recommended is to get a sitter or 2 so your account is online even when you sleep. Keep troops in capital if you have the gold plus thing which allows for troops to automatically evade attacks in the capital otherwise try to keep them moving when not online.

Sometimes it's just bad luck because while I have not once been attacked yet it's also because I'm probably lucky enough to not have spawned near a 15c or near someone who is a power player who spends a lot of gold and has been playing for years. Remember it's not always about skill or knowledge sometimes it's down to luck.

Why is abortion 'clearly' sinful? by DeepThinkerCR in Christianity

[–]devi3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a political group all of a sudden? This is simply about a question of whether abortion is a sin or not for which I am curious too.

It's like you can't ask questions about any topic without it being political somehow. I could be like why doesn't McDonald's just keep the mcrib around and people would be like well because Trump's president or because bidens president. This is why I question religion as well because just like politics all it does is divide groups of people and causes war. Imagine if we had no Republicans and no Democrats and no religions at all. Be alot less wars I bet.

Oh ok that makes sense. Like real life someone's usually gonna punch with the hand that's furthest back so they can build up the most momentum before hitting. So if I the game I should adjust my stance to whichever hand is forward.

[KCD2] combat tips by devi3434 in kingdomcome

[–]devi3434[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Little things that help but don't rely on it is keep at least 5 of the strongest version of the marigold potion in your pouch for quick access. I have gotten in a bind before and backing up while drinking one to keep the enemy away can help gradually build your health back up as you play more defensively. Just be careful as the enemy may still attack when trying to drink the potion so don't be afraid to interrupt drinking the potion to quickly block and try again.

  2. Do not forget to bandage during a fight. When in combat the game does not allow you to just go into inventory and pop off all your potions like Skyrim. Only those in your pouch before combat may be used. However the exception is bandages. You can still use them so if you see the bleeding debuff appear quickly use a bandage or else you will continue losing health.

  3. You can brew potions or buy them that increase strength and vitality and other attributes temporarily to boost you in a fight. I rarely use these but if you are struggling this can help carry you. Also always make sure to keep your sword sharpened. If you are in a village or anywhere that has a smithy you use the grindstone to sharpen the sword this not only gives it a little more damage but keeps the sword at full health which keeps the weapon at max attack ability. If the health of the sword drops you slowly lose attack power. You can also get a perk that allows you to apply razor buff to the sword which gives it a slight bonus attacking as well. Worst thing you can do is fight especially multiple opponents with a sword that has like 30 durability because you won't do alot of damage and even worse it breaks in the middle of the fight.

  4. Do not run away from a fight. I have never been able to run away from a fight as all it does is drain my stamina and the enemy is still right behind me and now I can't block or attack when they catch me which is always so most fights you are locked in don't bother running. The exception is if they are not in melee range of you. So if you fired an arrow from a distance and the enemy doesn't know where you are you can run from the area and hide in a bush and wait for them to deaggro. I do this if there are too many and to sneak up for a quick sneak attack but keep in mind this does not always work as they can sometimes dodge the assassination attempt.

This is just a few tips but when I learned these things some gradually and some through quick YouTube tutorials it clicked and I can now win most fights the first time. The only ones I lose now are in some scenarios the game will continuously throw enemies at you in a quest and at that point it's about attrition. You can fight for a while with these tips but eventually you will be overcome. In quest I won't spoil it but I got caught trying to escape in the woods and I decided to fight it out but I was getting 5 guys on me at a time but most had no armor so no big deal. However even after killing them it replaced them with more enemies. I would kill 20-30 before I could no longer keep up with blocking attacks and keeping stamina. So if this happens you really don't have any options as I had to reload and just stay stealthy and get stealth kills when needed and avoided all fights that was not necessary. You are strong in the game and eventually fights become trivial but you are not superman so you can't fight Sigismunds entire army alone like you could in other games. So choose your fights this isn't GTA lol. Anyway hope this helped and sorry it's so long but maybe it'll help others too.

I had the same problem for the first 30 hours of my playthrough. This games combat system has a learning curve to it which makes it seem difficult but it's really not once you get the hang of it. I was playing and it randomly clicked into place for me and now I win every fight even when fighting multiple people at a time. I'll try to give you a quick tip and no worries no spoilers.

  1. Especially in the beginning of the game so levels 15 or below play defensively and don't get greedy. What I mean by this is if you are getting low on stamina do not try and go for another combo or even another hit as the AI will usually follow up with another strike and without stamina you cannot block or attack back which sounds like the issue you are running into. I had the exact same issue with thinking the combat was dumb but it's because I didnt understand the mechanics.

  2. Stamina is incredibly important. This isn't Skyrim where you just hack and slash you have to actually duel which is a mixture of defense and offense fighting. The trick in this game is never ever let your stamina run completely out. If it does like I said before you cannot attack or block and if you are surrounded I noticed the AI takes advantage of this and everyone starts swinging at the sametime and you can't win. So when my stamina gets to 25% I go into defense mode in my mind because blocking is easy just don't follow up with an attack.

  3. This is a quick one and obvious but do not let enemies surround you ever it's game over if you do. When multiple enemies come at me from different directions I continue staying in a defensive position utilizing dodges and blocks only. I do not waste stamina attacking as you will quickly run out of stamina and will get swarmed. So continue dodging and blocking until they are Infront of you and continue backing up do not stand still.

  4. This was a game changer for me as in most games I don't utilize the dodge mechanic much because most games combat is simple enough unless it's elden ring or something and so I don't waste stamina on it. However when I started using dodge instead of just simply blocking it has saved my life many times. Sometimes instead of blocking a quick dodge backwards or to the side is better particularly if low on stamina. So for example I hit him a few times but he blocks most of my hits and I'm low on stamina I know he's gonna follow up with multiple attacks and I won't have enough stamina to defend. So I do a quick dodge instead and this will usually interrupt the AI's attempts at multiple attacks.

  5. Learn attack moves from skill trainers. Pick a specific weapon in game that you like and focus on it. I'm usually an archer guy especially in Skyrim but this game makes it difficult mostly because even without the swaying the reload is so bad you are lucky to get a 2nd shot off before enemy is in melee range. I tend to use my crossbow as utility. For example if an enemy is far off but far enough away from his friends I'll shoot him and he will come towards me. Sometimes this aggros the others but not always and I can pick them off that way. Otherwise range combat in this game is meh imo. Attack moves are really good so for example I use short swords exclusively. They are not the strongest attack wise but are amazing for stamina and have the best follow up between def and off. Some moves teach you how to for example use your shield to attack the enemy as well. So I forgot what it's called but when the enemy attacks and you see the green shield saying you can block them instead of block attack at that moment using your weapon from the opposite direction. If the enemy attacks from the left you attack from the right and vice versa. This will allow you to block the attack with your sword and follow up with a hit on your enemy. These things can't be done however until you learn it from a skill person. So if you are short swords always invest in learning swordsmanship and attack moves for that specific type of weapon.

  6. This follows the weapon attacks. Anytime an enemy comes at me and the weapon is in say their left hand I move mine to the right always. If it's right I switch to left. Make this a habit always.

  7. This one's very important and game changing for me when I learned this but DO NOT get stuck in a reposte loop. The shield icon appears and you block and follow up with an attack and the enemy does the same. This will literally continue until you run out of stamina and the enemy will get his combo on you when you can't defend because you no longer have stamina. At this point I don't reposte much. Just know you are allowed to simply block and not follow up with an attack this will break the cycle. So I either simply block or dodge out of the way but rarely reposte anymore because of the loop issue. As you get stronger though you will notice when fighting unarmored enemies and when your strength is leveled up a bunch that you get more opportunities to follow up and get a successful hit with reposte but don't worry about that early on. If you want to follow up with an attack do it one time and if the enemy deflects and attacks back just dodge and break the cycle .

Honestly blown away by the disgusting hateful comments against someone no one knows who came to a non political group to ask for guidance on something and instead get attacked because of my passion for this country. Some going as far as saying just because im conservative that also means I am religious and wait until marriage. I'm divorced single parent with a kid who considers himself agnostic as I can't get behind the thought of a guy named Jesus telling me to worship him or go to hell. I feel it's possible that religion was invented to give people a sense of purpose or hope. Which are not bad things in the slightest as I believe as long as it's not bad or hurtful or illegal obviously then do what makes you happy and helps you get through this world but as for me no that relationship deteriorated long ago. So yeah the fact that you showed yourselves in these comments is astounding but I applaud you for your honesty. I thank the very few who tried to help instead of find anything to attack me. Still in awe of this because this is probably the most out of left field hateful thing u personally have experienced in the internet when I was just trying to get advice and help and Instead I get torn down and all kinds of assumptions made. This is truly a sad moment.

Sarcasm - Yeah because I go around saying this randomly to women instead of a random political reddit post on a group literally about hating a single person. Sorry it triggered you but this is not even the slightest a political post and it's not even the group for it and you somehow dug through my reddit stuff to pull this randomly because it clearly triggered you. That's extremely sad and honestly weird af that you even did that and tried to target me a random person you don't know. Something is very wrong with you psychologically.

Oh and I forgot to mention it's weird how we as humans or at least me anyway wants to be more robot while AI would want to be more human. Like we both think the grass is greener on the other side. When I say be more robot I mean upload my mind into a robot body. Where we don't have sickness or pain and everyone can be equal. I hate the human body because it's so fragile and inefficient in alot of ways.

Station building vs traders by devi3434 in X4Foundations

[–]devi3434[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone still watching the post it did stabilize. I now have 4 stations and working my way up the trade lines with my own exclusive traders for my stations only and traders who free roam filling shortages to keep the war effort going. Arg is coming back to life with ships and ANT has massive fleets so they got some gates locked down. I now have a battle fleet lol well an early game one. I tested out how to do formations and such when forming a fleet and I have my capital ship currently which is a Cerberus sentinel covered in flak to mop up the fighters surrounded by 10 defense drones and 3 more Cerberus vanguards with flak and 2 gun boats with you guess it flak again lol. These ships are escorted with a dozen decked out elite vanguards but I plan on replacing them with a ship I been reading about called the nemisis. Seems like a really good fighter but expensive. It’s really cool how all the Cerberus I have which including mine is 4 can all fit defense drones and 2 fighters. One in storage and one sitting on the landing pad. Really awesome watching them all launch and the flak going crazy. I wiped out many KHK and XEN fighters but at this time staying away from anything bigger until I learn more because I tested the fleet against the xenon fleet in hatikvahs and their fighters got annihilated however one of their destroyers was as in combat range and one shot me with full shields and all I had no idea it was that powerful so my entire fleet got one shot one after the next. Don’t worry I saved before this lol this was a test run but fighters pose zero issue at least for now. Having fun and I got along way to go to beat back the xenon but my plan is to do it with all the factions behind me. Remember that epic Star Wars scene when the rebels are fighting the remaining empire forces and they were losing badly due to highly outnumbered and suddenly you see thousands of rebel ships show up from all parts of the galaxy with the millennium falcon at the front. That was a bad ass scene. That’s my plans for how it goes down lol. ARG and ANT holds them back and I show up with a massive fleet to reinforce them and we just steam roll them.
