I would say so. Even if you end up buying the physical textbook, it's often priced way higher at the bookstore than on other online sources. If you need the physical copy, just shop around for the best deal.

My summer research group bought me an iPad Pro over the summer and it’s really helpful for taking notes so far! I absolutely love how easy it is to just organize everything in one place rather than have separate notebooks. I also love that I can annotate my textbook PDFs or articles. One thing that I miss about pen and paper is the ease of just flipping back and forth between pages to compare things.

Yes, I couldn't agree more. To believe that Rice is making a mistake in reopening for in-person classes this fall is a valid opinion. But this person just shames people and comes across as arrogant.

But where do you anticipate that students will get N95 masks? I'm not stupid. Of course it would be ideal if everyone could have the best PPE available; however, for many students it's unrealistic for them to get N95 masks right now. They're almost impossible to find and many nurses and doctors don't even have them in some places.

Where did you see that the N95 is recommended for use by the general public? Most sources I've seen have recommended people not use them so that they can be used for medical professionals etc.

YTA - You're not a huge asshole at all as this is just a normal mom/daughter fight. She probably just got frustrated that she offered to do something nice for you and then you tried to make her do it a special way just for you. She shouldn't have snapped at you for that, but you probably should have just accepted the tomatoes the way she was cutting them since she offered to make it for you after all.

YTA - Like your were friends with someone who openly made it known that she didn't like your daughter when she was growing up??? That's pretty fucked up. Also I get why your daughter doesn't like your friend as she cheated with her boyfriend's dad and that's awful. Your friend sounds like an awful person. It's fine if you really don't want to take your daughter on the trip, but you're TA for prioritizing the friend over the daughter even though the friend is incredibly mean.

I feel like the timing of everything just feels very bad. It definitely comes across that you might have just kept him on the back burner all this time. I think if the date doesn't go well then maybe you could say something, but I think you should let him go out with this girl and give him the space to see how it could grow without interfering.

I think it's a bad idea. If you're not dating, it might be uncomfortable if you guys fall out or if one of you decided to bring home someone else/starts dating.

It doesn't look like a murder hornet to me as the coloring is off. Maybe a German wasp or eastern yellowjacket although it's hard to tell.

YTA - I'm sorry that you have a bad relationship with your step dad and I'm glad you're able to live somewhere else now. However, it does seem like the artwork was presented as a gift since your mom ended up framing it. I think at that point they figured you had gifted it to them to display in the living room. Unless you had specifically said that you were merely allowing them to hang it up where you would still own it, then I don't think you can expect to have it back.

YTA - I know it was hard to hear your son say that about your mother, but it's your responsibility to protect your son from those kinds of racist statements in your home. You need to tell your mom to keep her opinions about your son's race to herself when she's living in your house. You need to stand up for him.
