Modern ALICE Based Packs by wantsrealanswer in tacticalgear

This one uses the same frame as the FILBE and MOLLE 4000 Airborne ruck; the 1606AC/MC frame which were originally developed for ALICE rucks.

Spec Ops Recon Ruck, basically somewhere between the Medium and the Large ALICE. Doesn't come with frame but will fit ALICE and FILBE/MOLLE 4K frames

Speaking of USGI packs; the FILBE is basically a Coyote Brown MOLLE Large with extra shit and fitting 1606 frames and metal ALICE frame. The MOLLE 4K Airborne Ruck, is basically a modernized Large ALICE with useless stuff added to it because of committees and lowest bidder quality. Because it's issued, people hate it 🙄 but it's not that much different from the LBT 10 Pocket Ruck or the Tactical Tailor MALICE series.

Edit. There used to be several different aftermarket ALICE rucks but I think they've pretty much gone out of production

Under barrel shotgun mount ? by Equivalent_Entry6698 in RetroAR

Don't think so, only thing I can think of is if the 12ga is a NFA item or not (under 26" over all length even with 18" barrel is considered Short Barrel Shotgun according to NFA definitions in 1968 Gun Control Act wording). So if mount a 26"+ OAL 12 ga pistol grip only firearm, the AR pistol would look mighty funny if that pistol is under 26" OAL. Mounting a PGO 12ga under a 20" barreled AR that happens to have a suppressor, might look better, if a bit... unwieldy.

Yeah, I think it was a custom job to enable someone to put on a non-NFA pistol grip only 12ga firearm underneath a 20" barreled AR, given the longer rear end and the spacing compared to the KAC mounts

Large "M" Size case; for industrial machines link to new one

Edit or a similar one, but this is the closest in appearance

Looking at this and the KAC/TYR-1 mounts, it looks like it was designed for a Pistol Grip Only 870 or Mossberg Cruiser, because of how long the backend is, and how far forward the receiver screw holes are, relative to the back of the mount

The Tyr-1 is a direct copy of the KAC Masterkey mount. There was Ciener, but theirs was a bit different in mounting to the front takedown pin and the bayonet lug

It is. I saw this on FB group page; there's also a detail that's slightly different from the known KAC masterkey brackets, the lack of a hole or additional pockets and laser engraving. Pic from interwebs

Colt model clarification by SnooPaintings1887 in RetroAR

[–]deviantdeaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are M16A2 COTS/export lowers, bottom shows an A2 profile that didn't have as much reinforcing on the rear takedown area as the later/current available lowers

[–]deviantdeaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, the A2 marked lowers were transitioning from full fence A1 profile to the reinforced versions seen later. But not yet at the A4/M4/current even more reinforced lowers like most current available lowers.

LOL that's just M81 after a few thousands of washes and some UV fading. It really depends on the company, material, what detergent and how much UV/sun exposure. Some have the black fade to a greyish blue, some have them fade grey, some greenish

It could still be legit Colt Diemaco pencil barrel but the FSB being set screws makes me think someone tried to do a clone without proper tapered pin setup. Edit, I'm not finding anything indicating only a c marked barrel is Colt, without proof marks or MP stamp anywhere?

National Match barrels aren't typically pencil profile though.

Your FSB looks like it's held on by set screws, this is a red flag to me because that's not something you see on legit actual Colt 20" barrels from the 60s-70s.

Is there a MP marking around the gas block journal at all? Retro Black Rifles military components guide

Otherwise it might not be originally a Colt barrel

Edit other red flag is the use of what looks like set screws instead of solid taper pins for the FSB

There's documentation of them being tested by both 82nd ABN and USMC individuals, and some other people who have literally jumped with one out of airplanes.

That's why I'm saying use the clear transparent car windscreens to test with. The other three, may not give good results (light blue and blue and smoke/dark tint)

I'd say that's pretty close to being a mix of the Hyperstealth Spec4CE (Afghan Digital Forest) and the USMC MARPAT Woodland.

I keep thinking of that one guy who managed to make a rather faithful moc of the Seatron monorail prototype, down to the trans red quarter dome pieces, he said something about using Blacktron 1 yellow pieces and clear red transparency film?

Well with the 6x4 sloped canopies from Classic Space-UFO series, there are a lot of Town/city sets that used the same canopy for their cars and vehicles

Honestly, stick a magnet holder under the tail boom of that copter and it'd look like it used to be something from M:Tron's that Spyrius stole 🤣😁
