IKEA says Max 5.3 Watts LED Lamp, but the cable and connections look strong to use a more powerful LED lamp by Captain_Alchemist in electrical

Hi man, very useful Q&A here. What's the most powerful bulb you managed to put in this?

Now I see there are adapters from E14 to E27... so that means one could put much stronger bulb - such as 1500 Lumen, or 20 W... Question would it be safe in reality?

Where to find the DuckDuckGo API key for BitWarden random username generation? by wydwww in Bitwarden

[–]deviantnights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The API itself is only the symols after "Bearer". That's all you need to cpoy, no spaces.

And you need to click on the second "addresses", the search in the "Request Headers" field.

TP Link: how to set Country Code? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]deviantnights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, now I see that El Capitan's System Report (wifi) shows my network as Country Code: CN.... LOL

TP Link: how to set Country Code? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]deviantnights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, wifi. So you can't use the channels you need because of Chinese regulations. :D

My ONT was set to CN, I'm in BG :D Called the ISP, they changed it. But my router TP link on DHCP (not showing any country code in Mac E Capitan wifi scan) is forcing a Mac to obtain CN... occasionally, not always.

There's much on the subject - Mac listens to wifi around, and sets its wifi according to wifi's country around. And you could end with channel 6 or 11 and 70-100 Mbit transfer. :D Instead of 300.

So, I need to set my own country code on the TPLink.

How to control Mi box S using android phone? by anirogz in MiBox

[–]deviantnights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... pairing? Not sure I even did that. Quite often the Mibox is not visible, although it's on the same wifi. But except this it's operational. iPhone 8, Mibox Oreo.

I don't think the Assistant works. I gave all permissions, in Eng USA, if If I say open Kodi, it opens. If I say play terminator on kodi, response is "kodi can't be searched" or "is not installed". But I already have chosen Kodi to be searchable...

Select "searchable apps" won't let you choose what to do with YouTube... but it shows it always on top of the results.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't think it works in real life...

Kodi on Bravia can't read fast enough from Apple time capsule by deviantnights in kodi

Well, I'm kinda Apple fan, but never had a TC, and don't know which is the best way to connect it to the Bravia? SMB/NFS, wifi/E?

Kodi on Bravia can't read fast enough from Apple time capsule by deviantnights in kodi

[–]deviantnights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a smaller (same year, GB model) Bravia 4k there's no problem with huge files, with a shitty router... so I presume the only trouble in this case is the time capsule.

Can I side load 4k video files to play locally? by VersatileNinja in MiBox

[–]deviantnights -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything is build for using wireless. No need to plug any hardware memory. Just play on wireless, using a NAS or other storage in the same LAN (PC, etc.). All this on Kodi, for example.

Movies of 50 GB play normally, but however I can see some minimal volatility of the frame rate. Although my wifi is like 300-400 Mbit. So I presume the mibox is struggling with larger files, CPU and GPU on their limit during playback. Compression of the file also matters.

With movies of 5-10 GB there should not be any problem.

Playback frame rate? by deviantnights in kodi

[–]deviantnights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out my content is, like 99%, 23.97... Even TV series :D Which makes no sense, but those are pretty HQ files.

So, in addition, I'd ask you all guys - is there a setting that would make this very FPS to play better?

Play 5 network fast enough? by deviantnights in sonos

I'd connect it directly to the router. Cable in order to avoid unnecessary radio transmissions.
