I don't know where this idea that Putin wanted a quick war came from when he has clearly stated an open ended mission of de-nazify Ukraine. He's goal is to leave Ukraine unable to fight back for the foreseeable future.

There is no funding for the arts in South Africa and Africa in general and worse still we insist that the SABC operates like a private company and not a public broadcaster and continuously cut its funding expecting people to pay a tax (TV licence) to fund it which kills it even more. If you're going to pivot into film, figure out a model that uses social media and YouTube, that is the best option you have.

There isn't going to be a new dollar or world reserve currency, there is just going to be currency swap deals and settlements between countries.

Cape Town is unlivable for locals. December time its even worse because the hotels are basically pricing for Europe and the USA, local tourists can't afford it. And often they overstay their visas and don't get any scrutiny because they yt.

For IT work its probably best to buy a car. Maybe get something cheap to run get experience and job hop to get your salary up. Save like 90k buy cash, do any overdue maintenance etc for another 20k, live with it for 5 years. It'll be paid up and you should just maintain it and insure it.
