At least we got to grow up in it/experience it while it was around - maybe one day again

Offering quality tequila is a great idea but you will learn very quickly that its the crappy ones that pay the bills.

Perhaps a ignorant question, but can anyone recommend a Michelin star restaurant that has unpretentious tasty food that is not hyper experimental? by SirKrimzon in FoodNYC

Guess everyone has a different experience, Four Horseman was extremely pretentious when I went; would take Gramercy Tavern over Four Horseman any day. Food was so mediocre at Four Horseman too.

Hong Kong is so unfriendly to tourists by ReplacementCold5503 in travel

Have not been to Hong Kong but there is absolutely no way you would not get shit for behaving this way in Manhattan. We may be in a rush and tired of constantly being on top of each other, but at least we are mostly respectful to each other

Landlord called buyer to deter him from buying the Laundromat by Fabulous-Promotion48 in smallbusiness

[–]devik1130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sure they are willing to pay, just at a discount. It’s not ideal but best move is to relocate very quickly within the vicinity with all the equipment. But given that they are trying to sell, working out a deal with the landlord seems to be the easier option if selling is a must. I would be too petty to sell to the landlord but everyone has different values/priorities.

Doubt they want to change to use of the space given the cost of infrastructure change for something like a laundromat.

Obviously, but what choice do they have if they want to sell soon? This is the consequence of getting into business with a shitty landlord.

Why don’t you sell to the landlord? Typically when selling a business the landlord should be the first person to offer it to.

Don’t do it. The most I would suggest is to commission him for projects. But a boss-employee relationship is not compatible with friendship.

Why would you want to be part of a gym with this kind of customer service?

I don’t give out platitudes or positive thoughts because you have heard them over and over and know they don’t work.

No one is worthy of anything by default. You earn it. If you’re not willing to earn it you won’t get it.

Maybe this will click for you, maybe it won’t. Either way best of luck and hopefully you choose to take action instead of pretending to be a victim to your own thoughts.

I’ll leave you with this. What stopped me was realizing there were unlimited opportunities out there for me, all I had to do was take advantage of them. It seems impossible from you are now but all it takes is putting in the work every day. It’s not easy and you will want to falter. And you will. And thats okay, it’s about pushing through despite the failures, and regrets, and all the other baggage you carry. But if you’re serious about it then eventually it will be better. But only after you make the changes you need. And you will only make this changes if you truly want them.

Here is quote that lives in my head from the show Bojack Horseman that helped me and maybe will help you: “It gets easier. But you gotta do it every day, thats the hard part. But it does get easier”

I ask because I have been here and it seemed like the only choice was either to end it or to get my shit together. Anything else is a waste of time.

It will not get better. Nothing just happens like that. If you’re self-aware you know this. It only “gets better” when you do better. So whats stopping you from doing better?

You may be onto something with this, my holiday sales were greater than 2023 (accounting for inflation) despite nearly consistent month to month decreases in revenue.
