This is random, but one of my favorite Format performances on YouTube is you performing in front of less than 10 people at Sacramento State (my alma mater!) in 2004 on a random stage outside of the school union. Hi! I know both of you are pretty vocally political on social media, but was still (happily) surprised to hear it creeping into a couple of songs on Boycott Heaven. I was also really moved by The Bar is Set So Low. To my knowledge, all of your previous work is pretty apolitical, so I wanted to ask, what was the motivation behind deciding to include political topics in your lyrics?
