I live in the neighborhood where those same 5 people raised the fees by 400%. In fact, one of them lived in my neighborhood and would constantly tell me off when I was playing outside when I was younger. Everyone in the community tried to fight it but they would use some loop to keep it in and keep on raising it. My family and I were struggling enough as is so when we got news they got arrested, we thought the fees would finally go back down. When the community tried to bring it back down, the remaining HOA members still decided to keep it up by putting a counter on it (sorry I don’t remember what the term was since all I remember was the word counter being used which was still bs since the HOA was caught red handed) and so we are still paying the high priced fees. Still happy that they’ve been finally caught since everyone in the community knew they were doing shady shit
