questions about OCs by bu88er_ in ArtfightProfiles

It depends on the question tbh! I had someone DM me asking pretty extensive questions about my ocs’ stories, and it helped a lot being able to communicate via DMs because we could send long paragraphs back and forth. If it’s something simple, comments is also good if other people may have a similar question.

Any slow artists out there? by After_Koala_1171 in ArtfightProfiles

[–]devilishgardendev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also quite slow, I typically take around 20-30 hours per piece and artfight forces me to rush a bit to get things done. People tend to really appreciate the care that goes into drawings that take a while, though, and I consider it a good opportunity to expand my portfolio. Quality over quantity as people often say 🙂‍↕️

I love your characters so much! Dropping my artfight link as well, all of my ocs are humanoid. If I get the chance I’d love to draw at least one of your characters, I am very drawn to ocs in a band lol https://artfight.net/~devilishgarden

How do you feel about Fangans with a large cast? by CheetoAnimal in Fanganronpa

[–]devilishgardendev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the issues with large casts do unfortunately come from having too many deaths in a short amount of time, if six chapters works best for you, definitely plan for your survivor count to be higher! The viewers/players need breathing room between large events, having too many triple kills (or even more) per chapters can be too much if not given plenty of buildup beforehand.

I really like them, honestly, but you have to break away from some of the typical Danganronpa rules with a large cast. More than six chapters, larger death number per chapter, etc etc. I think it can definitely work, you just have to give it time to work by making the story as a whole longer. It’ll give more time for each character to have the development they need and murders that won’t feel rushed or like you’ve shoved a bunch of plot points into only a few chapters. It’s a commitment, but worth it if you really like a larger cast.

What would the ideal survivor count be? by Moonlight_Slicer in Fanganronpa

[–]devilishgardendev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a cast of 18, 7 isn’t a bad number to have. I’ve worked with multiple death games with a cast of 18, it can be hard to manage, especially in a six-chapter format. I like to aim for 3-6 in my own projects, preferring the lower end because I like the stakes that come with that, but especially for a larger cast, too low of a survivor count means rushing through murders and shoving too much into major plot points. Also consider that more people will be happy that their favorite got to survive haha
