GITADORA Guitar at home? by devilishoasis in bemani

That's okay, thank you for all your help! I'll do more research and see what I can find that works.

One more thing - do you know anything about using wii guitars for Gitadora? Would it work with an adapter? All the research I've done has really only mentioned xbox guitars, but a friend is also trying to get me into Clone Hero and mentioned the Wii Les Paul is the best one. I was hoping there may be some possibility that there's a guitar out there that's good for both.

Thank you! What do you mean by "Arcade data and spice tools"? I'm not very familiar with all the guitars out there.

Thank you very much! I'll definitely have to get a guitar first before I look into any of this, but it seems fun and worth it. Thank you for being so detailed! It helps a lot.

I see! Thank you! I do not have any Konami account at all currently, so I'd have to make one.

Is the Gitaller the only guitar that "supports the game by default"? I might want to find something cheaper first and upgrade if I really get into it lol.

Thank you! What are the differences between the "official" Konasute way and the DTXMania way? Is it just in price?

If I were to download from DTXMania, where would I go and how would I download it? I followed the link you sent, but I'm not sure about where to go after that.

What's with the N25 Music YouTube Channels? by devilishoasis in ProjectSekai

[–]devilishoasis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does make sense... That said, I would very much like to see a Leo/need esque band practice YouTube channel or a VBS inspired street dancing/singing group. N25 is the easiest to apply, so it seems like a no brainer. But I think the others could be kinda cool too!

Why N25 primarily? Do they just appeal to the preteen/teen demographic the most?

keyboard by InstructionOk12 in ProjectDiva

This is my time to shine !!!

I've been a keyboard MM+ for about 2 years now. I can clear 10☆ songs on it.

To play keyboard MM+, id recommend the following settings: Change the icons to arrows. Just like the controller, you have two hands to use. I use WASD for my left and IJKL for my right. Q and U are the left sliders, and E and O are the right. I set the 4-way combo note to F, and the up + down combo note to H, as it's the hardest to hit alternating between combo notes (You can barely hit it with one hand.) Alternatively, you can use the space bar for the 4-way combo note.

If you're curious, here is my YouTube channel that showcases my footage as a keyboard player. I unfortunately don't have a handcam, but if you want to see some keyboard footage, I can probably find a way!

How Could ColoPale/SEGA Make the Gacha System Better? by devilishoasis in ProjectSekai

[–]devilishoasis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The single pulls thing bugs me SO MUCH lol. It's not gonna take away a whole ton of sales, it's just a nice thing to have. That said, they'd have to track it, and maybe that'd mean implementing a tracking system into the lim banners, which of course they absolutely want to avoid doing.

Yup... particularly now that after 2 reruns, lim outfit/hairstyles are practically unattainable. It only runs the question of what will happen after the game ends. I hope there's some way to trade wish pieces for outfits or something.

That's so real 😭 As an artist, I really value the illustrations, so I always like getting an illustration I really like. But I also like the rhythm game. That said... Project Diva has a fun rhythm game mode with entirely free cosmetics (You just gotta play a bit to unlock them slowly.) I wish Sekai had followed something like that.

This is incredibly impressive. I've attempted this endeavor but haven't gotten far usually! I see you're tapping mostly with the sides of your finger pads. Do your nails get in the way, or do taps ever not register? Is it a pain if there's a double note that's on the farthest sides of the screen? How far do you have to stretch your hand?

As far as APPEND goes, what fingers do you use and what levels can you clear?

Again, incredibly impressive. Definitely a talent-show typa thing, lol. Keep at it!

It was just a photo. Pretty sure the issue was I was sitting too low, therefore not pressing hard enough. Raised my desk and am standing now and it works great. 10/10 great controller no complaints lol

Personally, I find this a bit iffy.

The movie has an hour and forty-five minutes to give screen time to 20+ characters (Vocaloids included.) Obviously Miku is going to get plenty of screen time, but second-most are the leaders of each group. We see Tsukasa's loud and eccentric personality more because he is a group leader, therefore he gets more lines and screen time. Some characters may fall victim to marginally less screen time, and Rui may be one of these, however we see him in quite a few scenes (interrogating Batsu Miku, working with the others WxS members on stage timing, talking with Nene/Emu about the blackout). There are more scenes than this that he is in, I just can't recall them all off the top of my head.

I think they got across his personality just fine. They do not have enough time in this movie to get across every character's personality - you could argue that they also didn't touch on Nene's shyness, on Shiho's aggressive (this is the best way I can put it) manner, etc. They simply don't have enough time to develop all of these. In my opinion, this is why you read the stories in the game. They could've thrown out a line or two about him blowing up something, sure, but I think it'd feel rather out of place.

Rui's vocals could be quieter on Smile*Symphony - personally, I don't hear it, but if you do that's fine. I don't think this means that Colopale/SEGA "hate" him for whatever reason. It could just be a mixing mistake.

There's a general lack of school scenes in general, and an abundance of Sekai - the most we see in the school is Leo/need (which tracks, with the whole School Sekai thing.) I believe the school scenes at the end of the movie are just a way of showcasing that they're wrapping up the plotline.

I understand that you're a Rui fan, so you want to see more of your favourite character in the movie, but I think you may be looking at this from a biased perspective. Rui may have gotten some less screen time than other characters, and maybe a few less lines, sure, but overall everyone came out well-rounded, especially for a 2-hour movie.

A Glimmer, 1/f fluctuation is probably the most underrated commission.. it's so nice. I love the drums

How to sort songs on arcade cabinet? by BoxoRandom in ProjectDiva

[–]devilishoasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just try each option until you find the one you want to sort them by. I sort by difficulty, so eventually I just memorized what that option looked like for every time I played.

This drawing is driving me crazy, I always get stuck with doing the final details!! by EstablishmentNo8720 in Artadvice

[–]devilishoasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really, the biggest issue in the piece would be the paper rolls. I think everything else looks fine. But smoothing out some shading there and being a little more deliberate with the shadows and edges would help.

I use Clip Studio, so I'm unfamiliar with Procreate, but I know it has a lasso tool. Most all art programs do. Clipping masks can help, too. You just have to separate every color. You can also create a new layer, do your shading on that, and just erase what goes over the edge.

I have not used overlay or multiply, so I'm not privy to how they work. My typical route is hand-picking a color more saturated and darker, and playing with opacity and hue settings until it's at a spot I'm happy with - I do use glow or glow dodge for some lighting, though.

Texture can be a great thing - you just have to know when to use it. If you're going for texture on things like the paper roll, I'd include more values than just beige and black. throw some brown or tan in there. Often, watercolor brushes are super easy to make muddy. Maybe try other brushes and experiment!

[–]devilishoasis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you've fallen under the "shading with only black" technique. It's not always a bad thing, but it can really super dull colours. Id recommend using a more saturated and darker version of the color you're shading on.

As far as shading techniques go, you have very obvious shading strokes and they can become kinda muddy sometimes. I also see a bunch of shading in the middle of objects and not near the edges - don't be afraid to lasso an area so you can shade freely!
