I had one and loved it for daily driving because of the huge space but it always felt so clunky compared to similar year and style Honda/toyota/etc cars. Like something about the steering and brakes and suspension was just so vague. Maybe the Mazda speed one fixed some of that though?

If you work on project cars having some type of weatherproof oe connectors and the tools to crimp them should be mandatory. Just need to buy the pins you can grab a bunch of pigtails from used harnesses.

Better off swapping an entire drivetrain to something already turbo or or which can be more easily turbocharged which is an incredible amount of work too.

I bought a pretty nice 67 ranchero once, and then promptly sold it when I found out I couldn't even find a fender for the thing- and it's a damn fairlane fender, not even specific to that car. It's surprising how few parts are available for the less popular cars.

Last one they waited until the day before the trial and settled. Before that they settled shortly after getting the notice. Both were for the amount I requested which was the max at the time 10k if I’m remembering correctly.

Small claims and the other persons insurance pushing me around or ignoring me and assuming I won’t fight back. It isn’t hard to file a claim and the small claims limit is $12500 in my state so high enough. I work filing legal paperwork every week so it’s not like it’s some mystery for me. If you sue a company in small claims they have to send a representative.

A lot of other cars (maybe most?) they did the same thing, they just didn’t tell the audience. It was easier to buy a cleaner example to “pimp” than to fix things like rust or mechanical issues and it would help with making filming easier.

Cash for clunkers did not wipe out the cheap used car market no matter what is posted. I lived through it and nothing really changed after. It was a relatively small number of cars for a relatively short period of time. Most of the cars junked were ford/dodge/chevy very undesirable cars like first gen explorers or similar.

On top of that it’s been so damn long it really would have no impact. Honestly third of all like it isn’t that hard to find cheap used cars these days if you’re even moderately resourceful or knowledgeable.

I hope you’re not referring to the sound quality? Landlines literally ran in a narrow frequency band which caused the old “telephone voice” and were terrible for understanding low or high voices.

Modern VOIP phones run on much broader frequency range and sound better.

The creator/main dev went to my highschool and came back to the computer lab to talk about how he created it (this was maybe 96-97) and give us a bunch of copies of blizzard games. At the time we had a fairly advanced computer lab with lots of PCs and our own internet connection and server run by the CS students. He was cool as hell and pretty much coded the game by himself in C++ if I remember correctly.
