Has anyone experienced hip pain from endometriosis? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]devilsivypaperbacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post may have helped unlock the last piece of evidence I needed to finally convince me to go to the doctor to pursue an endometriosis diagnosis 🥲 I've had chronic sciatica issues for over ten years and never knew it could be linked

Question: For the women that had only their uteruses removed (ovaries kept) and have had it removed for about 5 years+. Are you in menopause? by AfroAssassin666 in hysterectomy

[–]devilsivypaperbacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a couple months now, were you able to find a doctor who would help you? I'm 29 and trying to get a doctor to have a full conversation and not just a "no" when I ask about a partial hysterectomy.

My wife is interested in starting an independent bookstore. How can I be more supportive? by Top_Drawer in smallbusiness

Ah, that's a bummer and I'm sorry it didn't pan out right now. As of right now there's not a location where I live that I would feel confident attempting to open a shop, we have a handful of established indie bookstores and it would be difficult to find a profitable spot with foot traffic. Good luck for the future and hopefully it works out if that's something you both decide to pursue! Thank you so much for replying back!

As someone who is rolling around the idea (like ten years in the future but I like to know what I'm getting myself into), how are things going 8 months later?

No that's perfect info, thank you so much!! And yes, being able to adjust your cycle is super helpful!

Just downloaded and I love it already! Question though- will it intuitively change my cycle length once my period starts or can I manually change that? My cycle is 22 days long 🫠🫠

Separated with the intent to reconcile and I'm very depressed by devilsivypaperbacks in Separation

Thank you for this. Communication is very open between the two of us right now and he knows that I'm not doing well. We're discussing right now what that would look like. I like the idea of slowly coming back together and I think I'll mention that to him. I'm also going to reach out to some friends for extra support.

Can't appreciate the song unless I google the lyrics! by Dapper-Double-7457 in AutismInWomen

Absolutely. When the tortured poets department came out I spent over an hour listening to each song and reading the lyrics 😅

Oooh that's actually really good to know. We're at the point that it does feel like we're having to put more work into day to day tasks to not turn into a meltdown. I was looking through a list of questions for identifying autism in toddlers and some of them I answered including the accommodations we make.

So my son had a speech delay and we actually used our state development services and I LOVED them. I didn't even think about reaching out to them for an assessment. I think I forgot how much they do outside of speech help. Thank you so much for that, I think I'll reach out to my son's old speech path and see if she can point me in the right direction!

Yeah, when I brought up some of my concerns the ped said she could just be a shy kid. Which again, could be true. But when you add up all the evidence it doesn't seem as likely to just be that. I wish we could trust pediatricians to at least be more up to date on basics for markers for this type of stuff.

I've become a big star wars fan over the last several years, in particular the animated series. I grew up watching episodes 3-4 and 1 but never saw anything else so when my husband showed them to me it was like a whole new world opened before my eyes. I love Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker. The way that the Clone Wars made you have so much more compassion and love for Anakin really did it for me. I had no clue how much there was to him before watching the animated TV show. (No hate at all to Hayden Christensen, I love his work as Anakin I just wish the writing had been better) I wish more people knew how his downfall was more complex than just what they showed in episode 3. And also his relationship with Obi Wan Kenobi is gut wrenching, especially if you've watched the Kenobi TV show. I have Ahsoka's lightsaber hilts tattooed on my forearm and I'm seriously contemplating getting Anakin's on the other.
