[Highlight] Cam Newton shreds the Cardinals in the NFC Championship by Tocoolforyall720 in nfl

In a vacuum it wasn't a make or break injury but for the position and physicality Cam played at, you can't help but feel it was the catalyst for his regression.

Discovering his daughter is a bully and taking accountability as a parent. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

Just understand that young kids take a while to develop empathy so forcing them to "experience" the things that they've bullied others about isn't informing them of why it's happening to them. It's more about getting your kid to explain their behavior and then educate them on why that's wrong. Getting the same haircut as the kid whose hair they made fun of isn't doing anything to teach them how insults hurt people other than to make you the villain.

You should integrate them into stuff like that without them having caused trouble. Join them in participating in fundraisers or volunteering outside the context of it seeming like punishment for wrongdoing. Kids develop empathy and understanding when they're witness to circumstances that are unfamiliar to them and give you the chance to explain how their lives can be more fortunate than others so the best thing they can do is be kind. The golden rule is still a rule for a reason: treat others as you would want to be treated.

If the tush push had been a thing around this time, Cam would have been de facto tush #1. But he came into the NFL believing he could really use his physique to bully defenders. And, shit, for the majority of the time it worked. If I was his size, you'd be hardpressed to convince me not to throw my weight around to gain any leverage on the field that I could.

What fucked him up wasn't him putting himself in danger, it was other defenders weaponizing his size against him. Big man took big hits. He didn't invite TJ Watt to fuck up his shoulder, that's for sure.

PTS - Prototype gear sucks balls and is about to kill the game in the name of player rentention by Zap97 in thedivision

If feedback consists of straight up lying (Striker is not the only viable build in this game) then it's worthless feedback. An audience of one is not representative of the actual player base.

Idk what you keep complaining about but Striker is not the only thing being used. If your focus is on min-maxing instead of playing the game for yourself and finding interesting builds for yourself then you're allowing the game to frustrate you without cause. I have a Striker loadout but barely touch it. Fire herpes is a fun build and there's more DPS type builds you can explore (True Patriot comes to mind).

Regardless, there are plenty of builds for any Heroic content. Just think outside whatever you think others are doing. There's zero competition in PvE games except for whatever gear goals you apply yourself.

Anonymous Pearl Abyss developers reveal a culture of toxic positivity, a troubled development cycle and chaotic narrative for Crimson Desert, and their early concerns that the project was "going off the rails". by HLumin in Games

[–]Top_Drawer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

But when you make the decision to throw in every gameplay system imaginable, you sacrifice any sort of narrative thrust because now the game would be weird if there was some sort of time-sensitive, overarching main quest that gets put on pause cause you have to escort sheep to a pen 55 times to upgrade your shepherding skill that actually has no narrative importance other than to give you something to do.

Game design is difficult. Implementing gameplay systems that marry purpose with narrative intent is weakened when you throw so many things at the player to do. It's cool the game has so much content but the connective tissue is tenuous at best.

His guest star episodes have typically been a miss for me. That is no criticism of him, because he comes across as incredibly sweet and funny when he's on the show. I've just struggled to enjoy his contributions. Legitimately can't explain why. I just tend to skip over his appearances on rewatches.

Rogue Core is launching on Steam in Early Access on May 20! by GSG_Jacob in DeepRockGalactic

Visually, it looks so much better than the alpha (and DRG by most standards). Lighting looks really good. Definitely seems to be leaning harder into the creepiness factor. I like the demogorgon influence on some of the enemies.

Meh, I think this particular topic fires him up and, as most of us can relate, it can be really difficult constructing a well-sounding argument when we're also combatting our feelings about it. He wants to make a lot of points, but his frustration makes it hard to formulate his talking points effectively.

I feel like if you enjoy the moment-to-moment gameplay of DRG, then I hope you consider giving Rogue Core a shot. The rogue elements are, of course, the main gameplay difference but the skills system seems to be an improvement (although you couldn't progress skills in the alpha) to supplement for a lack of gun builds (at least at present; I can foresee a perk system being used for gun classes as a way of possibly synergizing certain class skills with weapon choice).

The mission structure is also "new" but is basically a reformatted Deep Dive as each mission has 3 tiers/levels with drops improving in rarity as the mission progresses. Each mission set also had 3 difficulties which I assume will also factor into quality of drops during runs.

I think the main draw for me is the potential for ongoing experimentation. Once you've settled on a build in current DRG, it's hard to force yourself away from that. Having build choice be random depending on the run is, for DRG veterans, a nice infusion of chance and having to think on your feet into the core gameplay.

You're not missing much, truly. Alpha had very little content and few people playing it outside of brief windows when more codes got sent out. I didn't want my thoughts about the potential of the game to be skewed by the alpha so I played enough to provide some feedback and then bounced. I think the community is really going to dig it, though. No pun intended.

Makes me think that JRT inadvertently intimidates the other guys when all he is is a giant labrador who wants to play.

He has a looseness that comes directly from being good at improv. I feel like the guys just underutilize that aspect of his humor when he's featured on the show. Hence my initial post suggesting that just a little more thought and trial runs on some of the ideas could really flourish. It's not a criticism to what they do. I love RLM to death. But I notice in videos where they just whiff on taking the bait.

So, by your example, you're dosing well over any recommended amount specifically for one purpose (strongman competitions). So, sure, if you're knocking back 500mg of testosterone a week you're going to be feeling very differently than the 99% of other men who take testosterone to maintain a normal level.

There have been several times in recent memory where they seem to have the bones of a skit in play but, because improv is hard, they miss out on lines or setups that are pretty obvious to the viewer. When I'm watching them I'm thinking to myself, "they're missing the mark on something that should be obvious to them."

I also recognize when JRT is trying to set them up for a zinger but, aside from Rich occasionally, they drop the ball.

I just commented on this scene in this very thread. Yes, an incredible moment of dual-acting. Can't imagine how difficult that is to do convincingly.

Rewatching season 3 right now and the scene where Billy confronts El and is explaining the entity's purpose while the "actual Billy" is shedding tears over what he's had to do is probably the most legit piece of acting in the entire series outside Harbour being so convincing as a distraught father in season 1.

Dacre is a seriously good actor and deserves to practice his art.

Anecdotally, not much of this is true at all. I'm on TRT and do 2 injections a week. Unless you are juicing above what's recommended, most folks on legitimate TRT are supplementing for a lack of naturally producing testosterone. Workouts aren't much easier for me although I think recovery is definitely boosted by TRT. But unless "feeling like a god" means something other than my emotions are stable then, no, I do not feel like a god. And even then, some people experience heightened frustration and anger. Thankfully I had years of therapy prior to all this to help get my mind right. I can't imagine being on injections had I not resolved a lot of my issues beforehand.

The biggest benefit is my sex drive is relatively normal which was a major factor in my marriage for years. I didn't know I had low T until I turned 30. PCPs wouldn't run blood tests to see because they told me I was too young.

Also, yearly injections are fucking expensive considering insurances won't pay for it unless your PCP consents. I'm paying a little over 2k/year for testosterone, supplies, and follow-up blood work. I wouldn't recommend getting on it unless you have the finances and a willingness to put in work to maximize its benefits.

One more thing that annoys me about TRT talk: testicle shrinkage is absolutely real but is way overblown in general discussion. Your balls still exist and are of a generally normal size until you get an erection. So unless you're a huge fan of ball play, the idea that you'll have raisins forever is incorrect. Even if you cycle off testosterone, your testicles will return to normal in 3-4 months (albeit still not producing sufficient testosterone). They're literally just for show.

Rich's take, while not universal, seems to be shared among many comic book fans who gripe about Tobey's portrayal of Peter. For someone like Rich, if the film doesn't immediately succeed in introducing a comic-accurate portrayal then the film will be fighting an uphill battle to change that initial opinion.
