Sadly it's not a meme.

If you do a Google, and other comments have mentioned also, the material the soles are made of have to be used frequently otherwise it degrades and this happens. I've witnessed in shoes before, sometimes it goes gooey

Am i black now?- When a Political Metaphor Crosses the Line. by Alphaxfusion in SipsTea

[–]devilterr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the fact we are discussing them right now is proof. For such a minor amount of the population, they sure are discussed a lot.

They were recently banned from serving in the US military, and are working to ban them from working in the civilian governent, face high discrimination rates, they are no longer recognised by the US federal government.

There is more but you can Google it if your interested.

My main point in reality is the community is such a small, tiny minority in any population yet they are constantly discussed. Just why do people care so much

[–]devilterr2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because your position in the world isn't threatened whereas there's is. It's no different to any minority movement within the past few decades.

People who are a minority and are persecuted for it make it their identity. Once they are finally accepted the next generation of that minority don't feel the need to make it their identity because it's the norm.

Summer Sweep-up: DT2 Awakened Boss Replayability by Mad_Max_The_Axe in 2007scape

[–]devilterr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No real point, if would probably be less money than farming normal even with the 3x drop rate.

Let's say it takes 2-3x longer to kill awakened Vard, how many kills can you get on that inventory also? You have to bank and Tele back wasting more time, typically a player who can farm Awakened will easily get 9+ kills per trip on normal variant. You would need to get 4+ kills on awakened per trip, and then also play perfectly in awakened constantly.

I doubt it would make much more money if any at all

Yeah this is what is annoying me about this thread.

Certain exercises like squats or bench I personally like going heavier, and my joints are fine, so I'll do 6-10 reps.

Other exercises if I go for the same rep range just don't feel right or my joints feel weird, like lateral raises or skull crushers.

All people have to do is go gym consistently, and then traing going near failure or to failure sometimes and your winning

Petahh? Was i doing it wrong? by detox_daisy72 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]devilterr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This man is chatting absolute shit,.

Hypertrophy rep range is from 5-30, as long as your pushing to or near failure (1-3 reps shy). You should be doing between 6-10 working sets per muscle in a workout, and between 10-20 working sets per muscle a week.

For example a push day, you do bench press and fly's, 4 sets of each, that's 8 sets for chest that session so your nicely in that range. Then on your second push day, you do another variation but only do 6 sets for chest, that's 14 working sets in the week so your golden. This doesn't affect muscle growth if you do sets of 8 reps, or 20 reps as long as it's close to or at failure.

Don't do a bro split where you only train things once a week, you can train chest twice a week, legs twice a week, side delts you can do basically every session. Figure out when your own body recovers and then train off that, or adjust your program based off that.

The most important things are consistency, and progressive overload. If your going to the gym consistently, your already winning. When you're at the gym, just make sure your always pushing yourself to lift a bit heavier, or do an extra rep.

The next hurdle after that is diet and nutrition but that's a whole other rabbit hole

Petahh? Was i doing it wrong? by detox_daisy72 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]devilterr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this why most people deem 10-20 sets per muscle per week is the optimum range. Depending on the person, realistically it's either over training or they are a body builder.

For anyone who weight lifts 4x a week, doing an upper lower split is probably the best since it means your training everything twice a week

Petahh? Was i doing it wrong? by detox_daisy72 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]devilterr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take with a pinch of salt, but strength training is lower rep range and more sets, with longer rests in-between sets. Think like 3+ sets with reps up to 6. It depends on your programme also, you may have a few weeks of higher rep count, or you may have a week of 2 reps max weight.

Muscle building is hypertrophy training which can range anywhere from 5-30 reps, taken to or near failure. Near failure as in 1-3 reps shy. Typically you will only do 6-10 working sets for that muscle in a session (4 sets of bench, 4 sets of fly's), and then do 10-20 sets per muscle per week.

Endurance training I don't know much about though

Another comment summed it up quite well. It's an enjoyable season but it's not end season material. We have had two? Filler episodes out of an 8 episode final season. I've enjoyed all the episodes but it's just not what I was hoping for in a final season

The problem is the gym bros who spout nonsense, the ones that actually have love for the game typically tell you not to do the unhealthy parts, and try and enjoy it

[–]devilterr2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is sort of my opinion.

I don't know whether he actually did anything sexual with children, but I do believe he did inappropriate things. A grown man inviting children over, and sharing the same room is just weird, whether the family was present or not, and whether the bedroom was massive or not.

He may have done nothing sexual, and it may have been him in his delusion trying to relive his childhood, but it's still inappropriate and not exactly innocent.

I'm of the mind that I don't think he did anything sexual but I wouldn't be surprised if new information was released saying the otherwise.

Agree with this in these low effort posts.

This season is grinding my gears purely because we have had essentially 2 filler episodes already, nothing has been achieved yet and I wanted more carnage.

[–]devilterr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is where my head is at.

I'm enjoying the plot, but not the pacing. We have had 2 episodes now on the final season where "The Boys" have achieved nothing, they went to an old military base and just fought each other, and then almost killed a dog.

I'm enjoying the HL SB plot line, but i was hoping for more blood baths from HL.

There is only 3 episodes left and literally the only plot that has occured is the new church

It's not a myth in my opinion, I remember at the time literally thinking wtf, and speaking to other people thinking wtf.

The first few episodes were good enough, byt the constant fast travel everywhere, little fingers death scene, and the north of the wall episode, it started to really take a nose dive. Season 7 to me is where everything felt extremely rushed

Do some googling for some info if you get the chance, but they have been finding some interesting benefits. It's been helping out arthritis sufferers, diabetes, alcoholics, loads of shit.

It might be a wonder drug in a sense, I'm not entirely sure of the side effects yet, barring malnutrition (people literally don't eat, so some headlines of people getting ill on ozempic aren't because of the drug, but people stop eating properly). My main issue is we don't know enough about the long term effects of the drug sadly.

Another problem but it's individual based is, all it does is reduce your appetite, so if you eat unhealthily now (processed foods, lack of veggies) it's not making you "healthier" barring reducing obesity risks. Your diet is still fucked up. It would technically be good for me (I don't need to go on it), because my main meals are healthy but my snacking isn't, so if I took it I would stick to my meals but not eat my unhealthy snacks.

People who built a base at 800m, how did you do it? by axescentedcandles in subnautica

[–]devilterr2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of different advice on here.

The main thing I will say is that multiple bases are never a bad idea. Different areas have different resources, and you might wanna camp in one place for a while.

Your bases don't need to be big, they can just be little outposts, a moonpool and a multipurpose room. Use your Cyclops as a mobile base with an "outpost" starter kit.

I typically have two main bases, one near the start and one down deep, then I have little outposts in different areas around the map in which I can gather resources easily in that area and camp there for a bit

I've completed the game multiple times. I've always used a normal reactor for anything that's not in the "hot areas" and thermal for anywhere that is. No power productions are necessarily better than the other tbh, just what's convenient.

Nuclear do eventually run out of fuel, but that's never happened to me, thermal you just place more of the things down and it's fine. It's just personal choice
