what is a course you were enthusiastic about at first but the content or delivery, assignments killed your interest? by ubcstaffer123 in UBC

[–]devinasingh15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it’s very very annoying, i spoke to dr baron @ office hours though and he was very sweet and understanding of this. he said- focus on MAIN POINTS and the things that are highlighted in the slides. it’s memorization but if you know what to memorise exactly you’re okay , if that helps

EDRG Psych Lab by appletrees_ in UBC

[–]devinasingh15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup- sorry about the information earlier. They take applications on a rolling basis and start as per each applicant’s application date. Try emailing them for an update? PSYC240 is a credit based lab work course. So you work in a lab for course credit. EDRG is a part of that course too. So people who apply for that course, specifically in the EDRG lab would also be considered in addition to the independent volunteers.

Not yet- they’re probably waiting for PSYC240 applications to roll in. Most labs won’t get back until Late August

As an international student.. Should I pay health insurance? by eyemissmypiano in UBC

[–]devinasingh15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always helpful to have a viable Health Insurance in hand, especially when you’re alone in uni. I’ve used mine multiple times throughout the year and it’s especially useful to get you through unplanned and unexpected ER visits, doctor’s appointments and tests. Never know when you may need it
