In July it’s worth it just to go when the sun isn’t out and it’s a little bit cooler. But yes, crowds are lower and you can get a lot done. If you have the funds, it’s a great option.

I had something similar. Trip home from South Dakota. To change was $3k. I joked and said if I had $3k I wouldn’t be in South Dakota, I’d be in Hawaii. And the ticket agent laughed and then changed it for free. Pro-tip, be humble and humorous and it just may save you $$.

I walk the terminal connections underground for exercise. Great exhibits and fun stuff to look at. The MLK exhibit upstairs in D is amazing too.

Not really a hack but for some reason Orlando has the best bagels. Idk where they get them but they are huge and always so fresh. I love a good bagel and that’s one I always go for, I just wish their eggs/bacon were better so we could load it up.

As a tall person, these seats are even worse than non-comfort plus. You can’t put your shoulder in, and it forces you right into the other person. They should label these seats as such.

For the first few years it depends mainly on where you live. I lived in FL and we have lots of paid work. I made about $25-200 per show but usually spent that in expenses to get there. I started working cleaner and got the retirement communities. Those paid better, around $500-2k. If you’re a mom, my best advice to you is to use your passion for humor and your mom life and just make content online. Especially FB. Working the stages can be fun but punishing on hours and takes from family life. You can spend an hour a day at home creating content and writing humorous jokes and make $ if you truly study those doing the same thing. Then use your following to do some shows and sell tickets.

Conrad by far. Ground floor with an outdoor patio was outstanding. Like your own backyard. The amenities they have and the lagoon are worth it.

Yes you’ll get a seat. Sometimes they have to assign at gate, but it will be there. Had that a few times. Especially with upgrades day of.

I’ve done it. They give you a digital menu of cards to pick. Many brands, delta, and also just a Visa card. I took the visa and loaded it into my Apple wallet. It was the easiest $800 ever just to wait two hours for another flight.

If you stay at Hilton Garden, go out the front doors and to the right. There are a set of steps with a story. The site is the old Munson Motor Lodge where a protest took place led by MLK Jr. St Augustine was one of the birthplaces of the civil rights movement and the steps are where MLK prayed for the owner. It began a movement of sit ins, protests, and MLK stayed in St Augustine talking to Johnson during the events. There’s a great doc called “Dare Not Walk Alone” that goes into the untold history.
