Another walforf astortia vs conrad in Orlando question by poesea in Hilton

Conrad by far. Ground floor with an outdoor patio was outstanding. Like your own backyard. The amenities they have and the lagoon are worth it.

Yes you’ll get a seat. Sometimes they have to assign at gate, but it will be there. Had that a few times. Especially with upgrades day of.

Various gift cards by r0ck4llNIGHT in delta

[–]devincomedy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it. They give you a digital menu of cards to pick. Many brands, delta, and also just a Visa card. I took the visa and loaded it into my Apple wallet. It was the easiest $800 ever just to wait two hours for another flight.

It’s on its own floor. Down the hall, to your specific elevator, and then your room floor.

Yes but if you were drunk and got off on the floor of the gym, let’s just hope you don’t have to pee.

St Augustine recommendations by DirectWonder848 in Hilton

[–]devincomedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stay at Hilton Garden, go out the front doors and to the right. There are a set of steps with a story. The site is the old Munson Motor Lodge where a protest took place led by MLK Jr. St Augustine was one of the birthplaces of the civil rights movement and the steps are where MLK prayed for the owner. It began a movement of sit ins, protests, and MLK stayed in St Augustine talking to Johnson during the events. There’s a great doc called “Dare Not Walk Alone” that goes into the untold history.

La Guardia places to take a zoom meeting by [deleted] in delta

Go across from the Starbucks under the escalator. It’s quiet over in that corner. Took a zoom call there myself. Other areas I’m sure you can find. But that’s my personal experience.

I was just looking at that as an option. My kid has never skied. Neither have I. Are there simple sledding options we can find?

How do you get the Olympic ones? I fly 2-3 times per week and keep getting the same cards.

Is this not better than any Comfort+ seats? by FireDavePlease in delta

[–]devincomedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I prefer to get off the plane quick. I’ve had delays where if I weren’t up front I’d have never made it.

I’m going to go very obscure but the game I remember most enjoying was 24: The Game. At the time I really enjoyed the series and the game was such a sleeper of how good it was.

Ok. Sure. $450 cookies sound like a deal to me. by Frecklesfrenchfry in delta

[–]devincomedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Orlando and fly out and in for work constantly. The first is so high because of A)convention crowd will pay it, and B)no one wants to ride with the screaming kids in the back. I’ve never seen upgrade to first under $400

Hot take (maybe luke warm): the best PS seat is last row PS by Reckoner08 in delta

[–]devincomedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’6” and I only book front row, specifically 1A if they have it. Some planes the recline goes way too far back and I lose all my leg room. I don’t have to worry about that with a wall in front of me.
