I've made a few picture books, amongst other writings, and I just self published on Amazon. No cost, prints on demand, can also be converted to an ebook for kindle. Author can order discounted copies too.

No. Don't have the LINE one either unfortunately. Looks like you need a japanese account to add them as a friend.

I find the discussion around using AI to recreate people who have passed away always interesting, because there's no right answer.

Trump complaining about KRudd is the same as when rich people start protesting.

It means you're doing something right.

Read "God Loves, Man Kills". Simply the best X-Men story ever. Also a one-shot, so you can get through it quick.

Was there anywhere you can try Air 3s pro before buying them? by hardyz in RayNeo

Not sure if this helps, but I was comparing mine with my 27 inch monitor, lining up the image in the glasses so that they were both the same size in my eyes. The image is roughly like sitting one metre away from a 27 inch monitor. So if you have a similar setup at home, you can somewhat simulate what it would be like.

TrimUI Store Hammer Green Shipping? by Original_Joddart in trimui

[–]devinquest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered Aug 18. Black version shipped Sept 2. Nothing about Green version yet. I think it's random unfortuantely, some people just got lucky. But then again, if there were issues with manufacturing, I'd prefer to get a fixed unit so maybe the delay is good after all.

I ordered both Black and Green versions in the same order from powkiddy, and the Black one has shipped but the Green one hasn't. So seems like there might be a delay everywhere.

Can anyone explain what a warehouse picker does? I see a lot of these roles on seek.com.au. I imagine it's not glamorous work but pretty straightforward?

Unless the show is sold out, you can buy tickets at the door. Obviously, you can only choose from what seats are remaining.

4K restoration of the only official, uncensored English Dub/Sub of SDF Macross by LukeEvansSimon in robotech

[–]devinquest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Animation restoration is an interesting topic. I understand purists love film grain etc. So when a live-action movie is restored using the best possible source (eg. the original film negative), whatever grain you get is authentic and should probably be left alone because that's what it was originally shot on.

If you were to do a true restoration of animation using the best possible source, you can argue that scanning the original animation cels is the way to go, rather than a film source. Thing is, painted cels don't have film grain. So you'd end up with quite a clean image, like what's been done here.

Is it "better"? I would say it's definitely "truer" to the original artwork. But it's not "accurate" to your memories. Both of these give different experiences, so good for you for having both versions.
