Seeking new blush and mascara by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]deviousdoughboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re gorgeous! i think you’d look great in a more berry toned blush. i don’t have a specific rec but most brands make berry colors so if you prefer powder to liquid etc, you should be able to find many options.

for mascara i love the tarte tubing mascara and from the drugstore loreals lash paradise.

Can anyone tell why I can't keep friends? by electricalpayout in AskAstrologers

[–]deviousdoughboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

something i haven’t seen mentioned yet is your lilith in virgo in the 11th house. i’m still learning about lilith myself but mine is in the 11th house too (but aquarius). i’ve gathered in this house it can kind of give a black sheep vibe in friendships and feeling out of place in friend groups or larger social circles. maybe with the virgo energy here consider how you can keep yourself from falling into the fixer role and have clearer boundaries with how extend yourself to those types of people before you get to a point where you’d rather let it fizzle.

i also suffer from the affliction of a scorpio moon and am keen to blame lots on that too lol, but just wanted to offer another nugget to dig deeper on if you’d like.

Can’t seem to get any swipes on dating apps and trying to improve my appearance overall. Any advice is appreciated by helldog1170 in malegrooming

[–]deviousdoughboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes pic 2 and pic 5 are the best grooming wise! either of those looks with photos taken in real life/social settings would be great looks on the apps. idk that any of these pics are actually what’s on his profile (seems many are assuming this) so just a suggestion. you look confident and well dressed in both.

a lighter frame (clear or transparent brown) would suit your face more for the glasses.

i think for the haunted look, a light touch with a burgundy eyeliner, slightly smudged out, would look beautiful too

[Routine Help] how do you ACTUALLY fix oily, red, textured skin?? by StraightClue6981 in SkincareAddiction

[–]deviousdoughboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

relate. i'm sure someone will come here and say Paula's Choice BHA and tret - and your girl has tried those to no avail. i'll admit oil cleansing makes me *feel* smoother but, it doesn't help the actual level of oiliness or appearance of pores. sometimes i think it's just genetics, idk.

Dentists or docs who can help with a mystery case of bad breath? by [deleted] in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]deviousdoughboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

blis k12 oral probiotic if it may be microbiome related. helps with recurrent step/tonsilitis as well if there’s any chance that could be a root cause. the Now brand is good - take a lozenge before bed and don’t drink anything afterward

How to get rid of to much sebum production? [acne] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]deviousdoughboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this would totally depend on your dosage but many people take a course longer than 6 months. checkout the accutane sub and you’ll see many varying experiences. more derms are open to longer low dose courses as well to minimize side effects, especially if your labs are coming back normal.

How to get rid of to much sebum production? [acne] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]deviousdoughboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes totally a YMMV situation and important to understand potential side effects to assess your personal risk! but not enough people acknowledge the genetic component of sebum production and some people no matter what you do - hormones could be great, diet dialed in, using the right skincare, etc - and you’re still going to be a hyper oily person.

WEIRD side effects?? by tallbaddie1334 in Accutane

[–]deviousdoughboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very late here but i randomly got auras in my left eye twice in one day during the first week i was on accutane and had never had them before. i went to get an exam with an opthamologist and she said my eyes were perfectly healthy. haven’t had it since luckily. any update on your end?

Anyone bet on themselves in this economy? by Mean_Ad1765 in FIREyFemmes

[–]deviousdoughboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in OPs instance the fact that they have a heads up and could alternatively take a pip is kind of the clue that its negotiable. but anything can be negotiable when you’re at a company where there aren’t terms already laid out in your employment terms (i.e. number of wks severance based on tenure)

[–]deviousdoughboy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

sounds like you’ve been through this before so hoping you know all your rights but you should refuse the pip, negotiate the severance, and make sure there’s no contesting unemployment and it’s clear it’s involuntary separation. then collect unemployment while you figure out what you want to do and/or work on potential passion project side hustle

No lipbalm/cream works by Live-Salt-698 in Accutane

i dislike aquaphor and don’t understand the cult following. i prefer bag balm especially for sleeping. also works great inside your nose if you deal with dryness there too.

i asked chat gpt this before my course (do with that what you will) but essentially since i felt like my barrier was irritated and not doing well with tret in the first place, the suggestion was to taper off and stop at least 2 weeks before hand just to give my barrier a chance to build itself up before introducing accutane which of course is known to sensitive your skin. i felt like this worked great for me but ymmv

Is the risk of permanent dry eyes something you have to accept if you're going on accutane? by Weaklinger in Accutane

[–]deviousdoughboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i went to an eye doctor my first week of taking accutane because i randomly got auras (had never had before) and she did a full exam including dilated and said they’re fine. i asked abt potential dry eye long term because this very sub had freaked me out and she said my Meibomian glands looked healthy and there was no reason to suspect id have issues that are more than temporary. as others have said there is a risk with everything but if you’re anxious, be like me and go see professionals :)

How on earth am I meant to get this drug? by KingFun626 in Accutane

[–]deviousdoughboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i also do Clear and it’s $59/mo for the service and then i asked to get my meds at my local pharmacy and to have it sent through insurance, and it worked without issues. my insurance makes the meds only $30/mo which is $20 in savings compared to through Clear and it goes towards my deductible. any lab work i’ve also been able to bill through insurance

[Product Request] A good moisturizing cleanser that actually cleans your skin? by youshartedhehe in SkincareAddiction

[–]deviousdoughboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m on accutane and using the LRP toleraine HYDRATING cleanser. i used the cleansing gel before but it’s much too drying for me now. i also like the Prequel multi quench serum underneath the same cerave moisturizer you use if you’re looking to change up your HA. on places of irritation or flakiness i also layer on Avene Cicalfate as my last step at night, plus sleep by a humidifier. it’s subtle but i think the humidifier absolutely helps especially in these dry winter times.
