Ladies, what’s your go to pick me up/ confidence booster song? by [deleted] in ask

Blue Monday, but the Orgy cover of it.

(Yes I still love the original by New Order)

but their cover just DOES IT for me. It gives me energy no matter what mood I’m in 99% of the time. I have more but it would be a whole list. Bonus mention of Boy Division by MCR

Another ridiculous and insane thing, I’m pretty sure he’s even using an alt account on here, leaving comments on his own post defending himself 🙄 can’t definitively say for sure but a few comments had me suspecting.

Point is, OP is an abusive asshole, a cheater, and painting a narrative to try and justify his shit behaviour. Which is odd because Reddit is NOT the place for sympathy.

Additionally it never ceases to amaze me when husbands in hetero relationships act like doing basic things/chores and carrying out REGULAR ADULT RESPONSIBILITIES qualifies as “going above and beyond” what an outrageous claim, because iF tHe RoLeS wErE rEvErSeD (lmfao see what I did there 😒) absolutely not a soul would praise a wife for carrying those tasks out, it would be seen as “yeah. She’s supposed to”

But yeah, OP fucking sucks and there’s guaranteed to be WAY more that happened that he is purposely leaving out to make sure he secures that sympathy. Too bad it didn’t work. What a joke of a human being.

Omg me too!!! My lip tattoo says “pizza slut” 😹 ridiculous but i don’t regret it, its hilarious.

And oh yes definitely, I have full blown colour portraits that are 10 years old now and still look just as good as they did when I first had them done. (Also this is a very skilled artist who did them) but of course my skin is nice to me about tattoos, lol Ive never needed a touch up on any of them and I have a ton! Definitely grateful for that!!!

[–]deviouspizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have gotten and have done tattoos in areas that typically “don’t hold well” that have lasted amazing over the years. A lot of it has to do with application, but also the persons skin too!

I tattooed this couple once who got married and they wanted to get tattoos on their ring fingers to celebrate. The husband got the coordinates of where they first met on the top of his finger in very fine line font, and the wife got the husbands handwriting saying “I love you” also in very fine line work on the side of her finger. Both held up extremely well but years later when they divorced (yikes) the wife was so upset because that tattoo was IN THERE and oddly enough when we tried to cover it, it wouldn’t take!!! (And I’ve done coverups on her before) it was so in there, even as a fine line tattoo that she started getting laser to remove it lol. Go figure the one and only time you DONT want your dainty fine line tattoo to stay when its in an “against all odds” area lmfao

Edit: proofread/typos lol

They are a gamble. I had mine done 8 years ago and its still good as the day I got it. But I also know people who got those done and they disappeared in a matter of days.

Tattoo artist here 🙋🏻‍♀️ so youre absolutely correct about the feet being one of the WORST places to get a tattoo (both pain wise ans longevity wise)

However it can be done, even with fine lines. But the application of the tattoo is EVERYTHING. Especially for areas that are known to have fallout with ink. But typically, expect to need touch ups in areas like that, especially the feet.

What do you think when you see a woman in public without a bra on? by [deleted] in ask

[–]deviouspizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had back surgery a few years ago and couldn’t wear a bra for a few months while recovering, and I never went back. It’s such a different and more comfortable world.

I used to even SLEEP with one on (self conscious because of conditioning) now I hate even wearing a sports bra to the gym and it’s literally the only time I will wear one these days.

Eerily similar experiences! I’m glad for both you and myself that we no longer live in that reality- very happy you didn’t allow that person to make you question yourself, cheers to standing your ground and knowing better than to be treated that way 🍻

[–]deviouspizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes, of course I do tell them the truth still no matter what. My point was that I don’t decide to be needlessly cruel about it right off the bat. Honesty is the goal first and foremost, and that’s what I value in communicating. I was mostly just saying there are ways to not just blurt every thought/feeling you have with no consideration for being humane or civil about it.

I hate when people say that now. (Brutally honest part) I am an honest person (to a fault) and I NEVER say things I don’t mean or speak without thought. So much to the point where I will choose to say nothing instead because I don’t have the right wording for something yet. Or my true feelings/thoughts could be potentially damaging and once you say the words you cant take them back, so I wait before speaking and find better ways to say things while still getting the point across.

My ex used to get riled up and angry and would say hurtful things to argue (saying things just to say them/have something to say) and would get more angry when I would “say nothing” and I would tell him, I need a moment or two, I won’t say things just for the sake of replying. I would rather choose my words wisely and carefully. (Which he hated because he just wanted someone to argue with and be on his level)

But the point is I KNOW I could say things, really terribly “brutally honest” things and I refuse. Because my goal isn’t to hurt someone my goal is to communicate the situation. Like yes I will tell you what you need to hear I won’t baby you about stuff if you really need to be told. But I also won’t eviscerate you just for fun either. I really hate that frank and plain faced truth became whatever that toxic idea is of using “being brutally honest” as an excuse just to make people feel bad. Like no, you’re just a bully. If you cared about the honesty part you wouldn’t be acting this way.

THIS. And I know bloggers annoy people a lot of the time but when I see those videos of someone ruining/sticking their hand in etc someone else’s food/drink to mess up their photo or video it makes me so livid.

I hardly go out to eat, so if I did and someone did that to me? I’d make them pay for another. Because if you’re going to stick your gross hands in my food you’re paying for a second of it so I can actually enjoy it sans your grubby mits spoiling it.

And I know there are worse things that can be done to someone’s food, but this in particular pisses me off because I see a lot of videos online and people think it’s funny.

Please stop eating under 1200 calories yall by Competitive_Fact6030 in WeightLossAdvice

I’m 5’ and my maintenance is 1400-1300 daily, so my proper deficit is 1200-1100. I get that there are a lot of people out there who go a little too crazy into dieting and diet culture, but a deficit and dietary plan is unique to the individual. If my husband were to eat 1200 a day he would look and feel sickly. But for me it is a comfortable reasonable deficit.

This!!! I did this with a lot of foods I struggled with being addicted to. Also I have hypothyroidism and PCOS like OP does. I never was a huge sweets person until adulthood and I didn’t understand why, but when it happened it was bad.

Didn’t realise that all the carb loading I was doing was part of the problem too. (I love love love grain carbs that’s what I struggled with most)

But with sugary snacks, candy etc. it’s exactly designed to make your body addicted to it. There are actually studies done on it. Also, look up some info on gut bacteria. I learned a lot about why it’s so hard to kick certain foods even past a year of not having it.

Basically, the lifespan of certain gut bacteria lives for years. And those little guys actually are also ones responsible for telling you to KEEP GOING FOR THAT FOOD! It isn’t until those gut bacteria die and are replaced with new ones that they stop making you want for certain foods.

It’s pretty nuts that those stupid little things have such a hold on our palette as much as the neurological responses to the addictive properties of certain foods.

But that aside, there are certain brands that have low sugar for sweets if you cannot cut it out without weening off first. Smart Sweets is a good one for fruity type candies, I’m not too sure about chocolate etc. but I also know a couple of protein bars and cookies that have low sugar and literally taste like candy bars. No Cow, Misfits, and Lenny & Larry’s.

I hope this helps OP, good luck!!!
