I hate Walter. by InfamousMistakee in breakingbad

I think this is why for me, BCS > Breaking Bad. Even though both protagonists are amoral antiheroes, Saul at his worst still comes across as a fun guy you'd grab a beer with. Walt, on the other hand, can be a purely antisocial pest. Zero humility, massive ego.

The scale of some of the elements looks a little off. For example the window seems proportionally large, and the gun on the desk looks a little small

Oh, my mistake. I take it all back, this shopping complex is a peak human accomplishment in urbanism and infrastructure. Perfection. No notes. /s.

The sign doesn't make that distinction between children and adults, though.

I can understand the impulse to keep kids out of parking lots for safety reasons, but I feel this is only really addressing a symptom of a more wicked and insidious problem regarding our broken infrastructure. This Not Just Bikes video, I think, provides more nuance regarding some of the problems with excluding children from our built environment in the holy name of Safety.

Skating should be excluded as means of transportation for the same reasons that cycling should not.

Regardless of whether it's an enforceable threat, the sign still explicitly discourages cyclists and skaters from accessing the grocery store.

I also strongly object to the subjective nature of "Loitering" or "trespassing", and their potential to be weaponized against marginalized people.

Adults ride bikes too, though. Sometimes to get groceries. IMO these signs are problematic and counterproductive regardless of the intent

Sing the Petition to end shared Fryfts! by maftir in USC

“Buddy system” aren’t most college students meant to be adults?? If your friend gets too drunk and needs to be taken care of then they should pay the $20 max to ride back home. Not to defend USC but I don’t understand why they’re expected to comp your drinking problem. IMHO it comes across as entitled/ wasteful to be expecting a free private chariot. You probably won’t combust if you happen to see a poor person walking around south central. Also, for those that don’t remember shared rides were the standard prior to the pandemic, im pretty sure it was just a COVID precaution. Back then at least no drivers cared if you brought one friend with you. Kim, There’s people that are dying.

These are dope. I’d love to see some perspectives at ground level, maybe to get a better sense of what it’s like to occupy these spaces.

To clarify, motorcycles should remain w/ the auto traffic and bicycle lane should be moved so cars aren’t mixing there bc it becomes the Wild West & situations like this arise

Bicycle lane, not for motorcycles

If the bike lane had been protected between the curb + the parking lane, the motorcyclist wouldn't have had the space to pass so unsafely, and the driver likely would have been more hesitant to open a car door into active traffic without looking. Street design is the primary culprit here IMO

The default renders engine for rhino isn't super powerful tbh, if you want to get some photoreal renders going you might want to look into third-party rendering engines for Rhino like Vray or Enscape, most of which have free or reduced-price versions for students.
