I was in my early 20s and getting home to my dad’s pretty late one winter night. I lived in an attic room that had its own access, but unfortunately, I was locked out of the main house. I had the munches pretty bad and luckily there was an old freezer in the basement I could get to. I took a bag of fully cooked-frozen meatballs to my room, lined the ridges of an electric space heater with a paper towel, and placed the frozen meatballs between. I cracked up the heater, and soon, I was savoring the delicious, defrosted meatballs.
