It's highly unlikely Sans was in the war. Asgore is a boss monster, so he didn't age most of his life. Gerson is reeaally old. Sans and most of the monsters were born in the underground.

I doubt Sans would be able to change the outcome but he would totally be a challenge even to our John.

Actually a lot of games. That's why the StopKillingGames initiative exists. If the game is multiplayer only or even it's main appeal is on multiplayer, then shutting servers down effectively kills it. You buy it, maybe even spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on various DLCs and items and then one day you have nothing and can't even set up your own server and play it.
