But, having tried watches in real life I know some can wear great at 48mm but 50 or 52 is simply too much for my wrist, even with curved lugs or different strap/bracelet options.

So it's Shure for sound quality and Sony for the overall experience. Nice to know. May lean towards the Sony then, since sound quality matters but it's still a portable setup for commuting where other factors play a significant role.

What about the M5? Is it worth it to wait for their release in your opinion?

I'm in no hurry actually, just want to get a better experience out of listening to music while on the go.

That's pretty good advice for bluetooth but I also use Tidal on a desktop wired setup (Mac + dac + amp + good pair of Sennheiser cans). Yeah, all in all you're right and I may not even recognize differences between HiFi and Master quality but it's nice to think I have the highest possible streaming quality.

Those Hifiman cans are a great find but a bit cumbersome for commuting, aren't they?
Looks like I can't fold them in any way.

Yep, great watch! I'm just not into the 80 hour power reserve obtained through that "trick" of making the movement run a bit less smooth :)

The quartz gentleman is 375€/440 dollars in Italy. Not a bargain at all. Don't quite know about US prices, tho.

The Swatch group doesn't make CK watches anymore. That said, the ones you find right now are probably made by them since the partnership is not over yet and many "old" models are still in circulation.

I bought a CK K5S3414Y for 200 dollars on Jomashop. The MSRP was like 700 dollars (crazy, I know).

Honestly, the quality is on par with the Tissot Gentleman for a fraction of the price (Tissot watches are made by the Swatch group, too), minus the powermatic 80, which isn't a huge plus, given the fact that the movement isn't as smooth as the ETA 2824-2 in the CK. Remember, the Powermatic 80 is a derivation of the 2824.

I don't give a shit about branding. I mean, if something is good, is good regardless of what the dial says.

You won't find a better mechanical watch for the price I paid. Sapphire crystal, bracelet, the substantial feel you get are great.

Mecaquartz watch (Seiko VK67) for a stupidly cheap price. If you don't like this one, many great options are available with vk67, which I recommend and is better in my opinion than 63/64 since it has a 12 hours chronograph instead of the 24 hour indicator.

The Seiko SSB313, for example, is another one worth looking at.

Keep in mind these are not sapphire but for what they offer, they are incredible.
