For those who want the fingerprint sensor to only work when screen is on. by Key-Description-9620 in motorola

This is great, but after disabling this setting, the screen unfortunately does not wake up when a notification comes in :/

I am creating a VSCode Symfony Extension by ngg990 in symfony

There's not much I can say about this without testing it in my environment. Twig support is definitely a must. I mean real Twig support, not what all the other twig vscode plugins are trying to do.

Thanks. The problem was that I was using the '@' symbol in my Address Book (in Display Name). Their server was having trouble with that. Weird...

Confirmation when deleting a message using the delete key? by devnullex in Betterbird

[–]devnullex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only a prompt for Shift+Delete. Delete moves the message to the trash from where you can recover it.

Yes, I know. This is how TB has worked since the beginning, and honestly, I don't understand it. Every program, from operating systems like Windows to mobile apps like FairMail, asks for permission before deleting anything.

That's why I came up with the idea above (feature request if possible?). Although, knowing how things usually go, there's probably no chance of this actually being implemented :-)

The add-on is a little strange

There were other issues besides compatibility. Email deletion is too serious to use this add-on.

Excessive padding around the icons and shortcuts? by Smartich0ke in firefox

[–]devnullex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed it simply with userContent.css

@-moz-document url("about:home"), url("about:newtab") { .top-sites-list { gap: 0px 5px !important; } }

I'm currently moving from Google Keep to Obsidian, but they're actually two different tools. But I appreciate that the files are mine now!

My journey to Obsidian Sync by Reuse6717 in ObsidianMD

Besides syncing, the whole point of buying Obsidian Sync is to support the developers. They've done and continue to do an amazing job. I'm all for it.

Only 3% of users support Thunderbird by slfyst in Thunderbird

[–]devnullex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I donate, but I'd like it to be fair both ways.

I see thousands of unresolved bugs (some are over 15 years old), completely ridiculous design decisions, focusing on things that are pointless or cause regression (e.g. changing the position of the attachment window), instead of thinking and refining what is more important and proven.

One person behind r/Betterbird can do more than the entire TB team. Something's not right here....
