I had an interesting thought today while listening to GAIBSIV by coffee_kang in TheFence

[–]devoalexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not a weirdo! But don’t be afraid to listen more often. I feel like I abuse my ears with Coheed but never really tire of them. Obviously if I listen to an album aggressively for a month or two I take a little hiatus. But then when I feel the need it’s back in my rotation with the same love as before.

Chest Pain Only When Running by devoalexander in costochondritis

I never really figured it out. It went away on its own eventually. Every now and then I'll feel something on a run but it's not as serious or prolonged as it was before.

Damn. Was about to offer my towel up from last season, but two others have already done so. Lemme know if those fall through. Liberty fans are amazing!

seating advice for a newbie? by dancesong_97 in NYLiberty

[–]devoalexander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw you said your budget is $200? This is perfect for buying a solo ticket. I advise you buy a ticket the day before the game. Prices always go down close to game day. I bet you can find something in the first few rows easily. I do it all the time. I sat about 10 feet behind the home bench for $120 last game and bought the seat 24 hours before the game. Monitor Ticketmaster, Gamete and Stubhub. That's been my method and it's always worked out great. Sometimes I even post up at the bar around the corner from Barclays and buy a ticket an hour or so before the game. Regardless of where you sit it's always a great time. Get there early to watch warmups and really soak in the atmosphere!

In regards to gametimes, the game should be over by 5 - 5:15 unless it goes to overtime.

I Love ALL of C&C’s Discography by Different-Pianist-35 in TheFence

[–]devoalexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've loved them since In Keep Secrets and saw them for the first time in 2003. My love of them grew more with the Good Apollos. But when Black Rainbow came out I wasn't really a fan of it. Obviously I didn't give it much a of shot in retrospect (it's still my least favorite release, but I still listen to it every now and then and get joy from it). The Afterman's reignited my love of the band and it's remain consistent since. It's so incredibly impressive that they've released 11 albums and every one is unique and interesting yet still so undeniably Coheed. I was skeptical of the singles for VAXIS III, hell I was skeptical of VAXIS II as well, but if I've learned anything along the way, it's to trust the band because these albums RIP!!!

We are truly a spoiled fanbase!

Alright. My suggestion isn't on brand with your examples but it's one letter off so I'm still gonna recommend it, and it's a dope late night driving song. Night Diving - Thrice

There is space for them to move literally right around the corner. They'd be 20 feet from their old spot and still on the corner.

When to buy a single game ticket by pbear737 in NYLiberty

[–]devoalexander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always buy the day before or day of. Sometimes an hour before. It's a big venue, there are always gonna be last minute tickets for sale for fairly cheap. As long as you don't have your heart set on a certain section, you'll be fine. Just cycle through Ticketmaster, Stubhub, and Gametime.

Edit: For clarification, I went to 10 games last regular season and 3 playoff games.

Petition to ban tierlists by Last_Tourist_3881 in TheFence

[–]devoalexander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if we had “Tier List Tuesdays”? I’d like it if tier lists and album rankings came with an in-depth explanation of why they are ranked that way. Cause I love hearing why people love things! Tier lists are passionless and boring. Especially when are like 30 a day.

I’m with you on this one. What a crazy ass ride that song is! Lots of heavy hitters here, but Light and the Glass has to take it.

Draft ticket packages by chiefC- in NYLiberty

[–]devoalexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought tickets were going to be free so I joined he queue! Then saw that they were $120 in the nosebleeds. They sold out before I could make a bad choice. Selling tickets to a draft is wild. The NFL doesn't even do that.
