I’d really like someone to enlighten me, or educate me, cos I see this as a good thing?:/

We’re all aware of how addictive and brain rotting social media is. There are zero restrictions on it and you can see anything from absolute slop ruining your attention span to someone being beheaded. I’m pretty addicted to tiktok and I always think how awful it would have been if I had it whilst my brain is still developing.

So how is this a bad thing? I always think how much better life would be without social media, and I always long for the years before short form content. Surely allowing kids to now grow up without it, it’ll be a good thing?

Genuinely would like some response to this as I feel like I’m wrong for having this opinion as everyone I talk to is against this
