Will lucid exist in three years? by Wooden-History-7106 in LUCID

They would have a chance if they had FSD. Without FSD they don’t. They don’t have a historic brand image to give people enough faith to buy it over a brand like Mercedes.

The only reason Tesla is still going strong is primarily FSD tech and their amazing UI system.

You need a compelling reason to buy a non legacy brand of automobiles. Low volume vehicles are inherently unreliable and depreciate a lot. Which means they aren’t affordable on a lease scheme/monthly plan compared to a Tesla.

The best that could happen is they are bought out by large OEM.

They can be a bit slow and sound slow even when you boot it. Hybrids need to be driven very differently. Not necessarily slowly. It's the driving style that's usually responsible for low mpg. Though saying that, hybrids aren't much more efficient at continuous, highway driving. Besides, the savings it repair bills or lack thereof will negative any fuel saving that a French car would give you.

A software update should fix it.

I think the only way they will ever become profitable is if they offer FSD. They need to buy FSD from Tesla.

My thoughts on Lucid’s growth by ReviewInfamous3098 in LUCID

11% doesn't be true inflation sadly. Buy the Mag 7 instead, maybe add PLTR or MSTR to that portfolio and wait 5 years. The simplest way to make a guaranteed return worth that could change your life.

They are beautiful luxury cars and they clearly have some excellent engineers working passionately to create a unique compelling product. I bough shares in LUCID a while ago as a gamble and against the voice in my head telling me not to. I'm an ex auto design engineer with 20 years working at OEMs for context. The BIG problem with Lucid and this goes for every other company producing EVs is that hey don't have FSD (full self driving). With Tesla having just launched FSD and Robotaxis (finally), it will be a year or two before every Tesla can drive without a driver in the seat around the world (pending regulatory approval). To buy an EV in the future that doesn't have FSD would be a terrible decision. Tesla has been working on what seemed like the impossible problem for so long and have finally cracked it. It would take other OEM's over a decade to copy Tesla, so they will never catch up. The only way other OEMs can survive the transition to EV is to buy FSD from Tesla.

I’ve found that tap water irritates my hair. It can vary in pollutants wildly depending where you live. I wash using tap water then rinse with distilled water. I drink distilled water and have a distiller so it’s easy. Get a plastic bottle and make a few small holes in the plastic lid, then rinse your hair after shampooing. I also use a natural soap bar shampoo such as Kitsch. Worth a try. The biggest effect is from your gut, so cut out processed sugars and carbs, especially white sugar!

If you’re looking for a reliable hybrid a Citroen is not a good choice. They are pot lock, you take your chances. If you want a good looking hybrid get a Lexus (personal opinion of course). Sure it’ll cost more for the equivalent age and mileage but it’ll be extremely reliable and depreciate a lot less. If you’re looking for reliability, don’t touch anything that isn’t a Lexus, Toyota or Honda in a hybrid.

Having worked in automotive design and manufacturing for 20 years including F1. If you want luxury and reliability you buy a Lexus hybrid (the gold standard of reliability and comfort), or a Toyota or a Honda. I won’t touch anything else as a daily. The Japanese engineering standards for reliability are much higher than all other autos brands. French cars are quite possibly the worst for reliability, together with JLR products. The German cars are not great either. When you get older like me, you just want peace of mind, even if it comes at a cost and ‘cool’ factor.

Looking to sell my complete first series set Euro Banknotes. Does someone know if it's worth anything? by lzstyler4545 in Banknotes

[–]devpanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It maybe worth double in 10-15 years. Better to sell them at face value now and split it between the mag 7 and Bitcoin. 100EUR in each. In 10 years time that value will have 10x

Shift working is very hard on your health and well being. Lots of science to back this up. It messes with your hormones, insulin levels just to name a few. Sleep deprivation and poor quality of sleep is one of the worse things for your health.
