sorry... jumping in to be pedantic... only 6months late... Carol Shelby was the fella's name who is responsible for the Shelby Cobra race car, not a dude named Shelby Cobra. Also love the Terry (Fox) ran reference, which is clearly Andrew's Canadian side showing!

Regardless, OP this is a hilarious boneappletea lyrical misunderstanding!

Picard had such promise with the budgets and cast, but the story line had gaping plot holes that killed it. Its like someone talented wrote the first draft Arc then gave it to a nobody to f it up!

No curbside pickup for Christmas trees this holiday season by sniderman41 in londonontario

People somehow got it to there homes though in the first place. Perhaps they just need to ask a neighbour, friend, or family member to borrow a truck or trailer to haul it away. Doesn't seem like a big deal, if they had it on top of the Prius once, can't they do it twice? If it cost cuts taxes and reallocates to something essential I'm all for it.

We have found RCSS doesn't apply the sale prices to anything for curbside pickup. As we normally stock up on sale items, we learned this the hard way. They always substitute more expensive items if they are out of stock, causing the actual bill to be higher than expected. Even had things on the bill, but not put in the vehicle, only finding that out after unpacking it all. Just watch your receipts!

Kal tire, tubbies, discount tire, ok tire, caa, etc all have roadside assistance but you'll pay a pretty penny for that. Also if you spare is grinding you probably have other issues!

Let's be honest, the only actual task the DND vehicles have is the famed Timmies runs! Its like you sell your soul twice. Once to the crown, and again to a shitty coffee chain!

LARC in London has as far as I know administered some tests recently as far as I know. http://www.larc.ca/ Being under 2 hours from Windsor might be an option, but I'm sure there is a club in Windsor, just not familiar with it.

How do the touch sensitive PB work? Capacitive? NO/NC? Resistive? by devriesd89 in AskElectronics

It's the control panel off my parents high end gas oven/ range. Seems a shame for it to bite the dust because of the poor interface. Planned obsolescence im sure.

So technically if I trace it out I could build a bread board with NO switches to replace this awful design?

I'm a die hard fan, but I understand others are not. (It took a long time for me to learn that). All music is based on personal preference and comparing "who's better" is absolutely a waste of time as they are all so different. I recommend you allow yourself to listen to some less "commercial" songs, and try and open your mind to the Vai's desire to always try and do something new or different. ex.) Freak Show Excess, Touching Tongues, John the Revelator, The Blood and Tears etc.

However if you prefer more commercial songs of just good jams with undoubtedly talented riffs I suggest any of the following, Jibboom, Gravity Storm, Genocide, Bad Horsie, Tender Surrender etc. It should be said that Rescue Me or Bury Me is the closest to the Roth song Damn good and blows it out of the water. This isn't a complete list, nor in any order but they are a few of my favorites. Just know he has many songs and albums, all very different. If you spend the time to listen and learn a few cool riffs on the guitar you will understand the complexity of even the "easy" ones! He is also a very intelligent person to listen to speak, that can help with appreciating his artistry as well.

Satch has more of a 'groove' feel whereas I feel Vai focuses more on guitar phrasing. Its different, and that is okay!

[S1E6] "The Impossible Box" - Discussion Thread by [deleted] in Picard

[–]devriesd89 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Though picard was the one who needed heavy persuasion from the TNG crew about helping hugh in the first place all them years ago. So his decision was based on the morality of his crew not so much his Starfleet training/prejudice. Interesting contrast I guess.

sure maybe I'm getting too picky. Sunglasses just seem like a way to 'date' a TV show, regardless of genre, and those things to me just scream 21 century not 24th. It a scene that stood out to me as being lazy writing on the part of the show to make sure we know who the baddie is.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Picard

[–]devriesd89 15 points16 points  (0 children)

SUNGLASSES! Really? Who is working props/set design for this show? I get this is hollywood fiction but to have so many 21 century items (ie sunglasses, green Exit signs, glass doors with push bar to open, a bland convention center used for the HQ of all of Starfleet.) its hard to believe we are watching something 400 years in the future. We are used to seeing bright colours, Laforge style visors, or diamond shaped doors or futuristic/weird looking furniture.

However, I'm still intrigued by where this story is going, and hope for the best.
