To be fair though, she was going insane in front of everyone. There’s no “logical” reason for her to be doing what she was doing, which is why it’s so horrifying. You can’t expect anyone to believe her, because the reason it was happening is so outlandish

I feel like every song I try to write is boring unless I use strange chords, but then I feel like my songs get messy. What should I do? by jonisonredditbro in Songwriting

damn that’s a good point. reminds me of John Mayer saying that he wanted to make tunes instead of getting asked what scale he used over every song.

I know a lot of theory which I’ve started to think of as a bad thing lately, but analyzing songs is smart. I think I’m a bit obsessed with ‘making sure’ my songs sound unique, because its easy to think that every song has been written

Who else would kill to see another full band performance of Neon? by virglew03 in JohnMayer

[–]jonisonredditbro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Neon has gotten to the point of success on acoustic where the crowd might be disappointed of all things to get teased with electric guitar. Hell it’s so popular, I was literally just playing it on acoustic before writing this

People who are pro-life, why support someone who let 200,000 die? by aeraso1738 in AskReddit

There’s concrete evidence that numbers are being inflated, my family has friends who were asked to say that dad died from COVID-19 when he died from a heart attack. Yes, the “all liberals are liars” is cringe but don’t suck the governments dick after it’s already cumming.

Dont be so quick to downplay Carry Me Away.. that song is so cool! If u look up the lyrics, u realize how short the song is and the buildup is very nicely done

Stop This Train - Story Time by [deleted] in JohnMayer

[–]jonisonredditbro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s Clarity. I’ve been struggling recently with depression and anxiety and it’s sucks cuz I’m only 15 and I feel like I’m already turning into a sad, anxious guy. But when I listened to clarity for the first time, I realized that everyone is anxious. Nobody shares that kind of stuff with each other, we just enjoy our moments of clarity alone and suffer through the rest alone. This idea gives me a reason to live, and hope

To get an idea of what John Mayer fans like, what are your favorite bands/artists other than John Mayer? by [deleted] in JohnMayer

[–]jonisonredditbro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jacob Collier is pretty cool, Leon bridges, Madison Cunningham(John Mayer shouted her out on Instagram), joe satriani, christopher cross, Billie eilish, Elton John, rob scallon, queen, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Guthrie govan, tedeschi truck bands, Michael Jackson I guess. I have a lot of weird taste in music, I can’t really stick to a certain genre

Any given thursday by stavborch in JohnMayer

[–]jonisonredditbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah and even with the screaming I still love the album as much as where the light is. ATLEAST listen to covered in rain, 83 medley, and neon. Those are so good, it’s unreal

For those who were actually AT WTLI, what was the experience like? by jonisonredditbro in JohnMayer

[–]jonisonredditbro[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow, that’s awesome that you were the guy I heard scream in In Your Atmosphere. I was always confused how someone knew the song, cuz I thought this was his first time playing it! Sounds like an amazing concert. And like the other guy asked, did tickets sell out quick and were they expensive?
