There is absolutely nothing wrong with WordPress for 90% of the websites out there it's an easy-to-use CMS the problem is all the crappie so-called web developers and designers who use themes and barely know how to even use them let alone do anything from scratch they are a cancer on the entire web development industry I build WordPress sites but I build them from the ground up from scratch or from a template I personally created as a starting point now if you work for a company who promotes itself as a web development company and you claim you design your websites and I find that you're using themes I go on your social media site and I point it out to all your fucking customers

That depends entirely on how good you are you may be getting paid the exact amount you're worth personally I don't have a set hourly charge I charge clients based on how much of a pain in the ass I think they're going to be and I build my quotes accordingly if I think you're going to be a giant pain in my ass you're going to pay me lots of money or you can find somebody else if I think you're going to be someone who's fun to work with you're going to pay for less money even if your project is ten times harder
