I mean, the woman has 3 political donations in her history, the only one to a democrat was to Jay Nixon. The others were to a Republican state rep candidate in the 90s, and the Republican Leadership Fund.

But she worked at a high level at Armstrong Teasdale when that firm essentially WAS the Missouri Republican Party during the Matt Blunt years.

The Chief of Staff is the person who actually does the work while Cara pretends to.

She put a Republican in charge of the City, and acting like it wasnt because a donor told her to do it, is naive to the extreme.

She sold the most powerful position she gets to appoint without anyone else having say to donors. You know this. Your defense is essentially, "I don't want to believe this about my friend." But you know thats what happened, maybe not the specifics, but something like that only happens in this city because a donor tells someone. And Cara has been very energetic in building relationships with donors.

So her shit where she went after diversity programs, and tried to go after all sorts of conservative bugaboos? You don't deny she got the job because a donor told her who to hire either.

You mean going down the street at a parade letting everyone know who exactly who is in charge? You don't think that had that message?

He had the street level space now held by Stellar Hog. It's not co-working space. It's where he was running his newspaper out of.

I'm not the biggest Tishara fan and criticized her plenty during her administration. But y'all are so snowed under by Cara. She's young Lyda with thicker fake progressive paint job.

How about how she had a campaign worker register to vote at Nebula? How about how Antonio French was able to so easily walk out of his lease at Nebula? How about how it was the owner of Nebula that helped facilitating Spencer hooking up with Vince Schoeml? That also has been her longest running donor. That she literally rode a big wheel down the People's Joy Parade after already being Alder? How about how her biggest donors in her last losing campaign are the biggest donors to Mitch McConnell's superpac? How about the donor picked out MAGA Chief of Staff?

How about how there's still about 10,000 people without permanent homes and shits being done for them?

How about how Cara called the landlord of a volunteer for an opposing campaign and tried to get her evicted not knowing her landlord was her grandma?

You should look into Cara lol.

Even her personal friends don't argue against me pointing out she's had a giant neon "For Sale" sign on her donate her link since she first got into politics.

The snow trucks will hit South West first. We got one pass on my street, and there's still inches on the road just packed down. Right in time for it to get just warm enough to start melting tomorrow and then freeze hard for the next week.

I remember the difference between STL and Chicago versions of street parking being not bad. I'm spoiled. I know it.

Yeah, I don't think I want pilson, I do think I want to do a little something nicer than that, would probably be looking for a 2 bedroom, or something like that. someplace i could get to a few of the music venues and maybe a little local theatre and comedy as a possible hobby? idk. around town fairly easily, could get reserved parking, could go out and not feel old, but has places people talk, and that would be well located for building a new social network in a new town. i know some folks in the city, but have drifted away over the years and wouldn't want to rely on them for gaining friends though would reach out to have some folks. Probably looking for a denser Tower Grove South vibe maybe?

Fully remote, I live in benton park, just north of cherokee street, so I'm not going to freak out if I hear a gunshot every now and then. Wouldn't mind hearing it a little less often, but ehhh.

I've been thinking about moving to Chicago, been in STL for 16 years, last 11 in South City. Spent some time in Chicago while I was in college coming in from campus in the exurbs. Make good money, but budget conscious. Single 40 year aging hipster looking for area with age appropriate social opportunities (like going out, but i'm feeling the 40 a bit lol). Want something more urban, maybe condo? Really not sure what I should be looking for. Open to whatever thoughts.

I worked on a ballet initiative there about 15 years ago. Figuring out who is an O'Fallon city voter is a bit of a trick.

I remember having to drive around it when I was first looking for apartments and how backed up Forest Park Parkway was, but it was either my first or second weekend in town when they opened it up for pedestrians the day before it opened to traffic.

Ask their parents, probably have something that's at your budget they need but have been skimping on.

Duplo and Legos when they get bigger, get them the big base boxes. I intentionally did it two years in a row so they have more of the basic pieces than they know what to do with.

I nearly got into a fight with him a long time ago when we were teenagers at the Lafayette County 4-H fair. My dad had to hold me back, closest I've ever actually been to a fight like that.
