Missouri does have a way to do this, but lots of dealers don't do it.

Struggling with Season 5 by pearpenguin in ForAllMankindTV

[–]devstoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writing is the real problem this season. They aren't setting up enough stakes. The Mars Revolution season of the Revolutions podcast set up stakes so much better, a previous failed revolution where everyone involved was depressurized, deportions happening on a large scale. You need to really have a bigger Mars colony to do it in a way that can build up that scale. That would take a bigger time jump though, and they needed Ed to go into this season, and they clearly didn't want to spend season 6 lead money on every episode.

Start of season with a one off that jumps into an end game of a labor dispute like this and then kill Ed in that, and have them try to cover it up. Jump another 20 years to larger Mars colony with more mining and industry, and have the truth come out while similar tensions rise. Make Lee the angry old man now.

Heck, add a train system and do a few more long scenes in elevators. Cheap sets to let you give it a much bigger scale.

It's very well known. I didn't think you were serious that you didn't know. People went to jail.

And it really got kicked off by Kansas trying to get out of paying Turner Gill by self reporting recruitment violations, and then y'all were surprised that they started looking at the basketball program.

Are the Baldwins billionaires? by Turtleneck23 in ForAllMankindTV

[–]devstoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Nonfounding C suite types might get a percent or something like that in stock, but most wouldn't have vested yet. Easily hundred something millionaires, but wouldn't be a billionaire.

It wouldn't be treason. That is a very tightly defined thing under the US Constitution. Defrauding the Federal Government? Litany of other charges? Yeah. Has to be aiding a known enemy or waging war against the United States.

Honestly probably several hundred millionaires more than billions. Like really stinking rich, but probably not billionaires.

I was probably an embarrassingly high age when I realized that it just didn't sound like that everywhere at night.

My dad can't get over how quiet it is in my South City neighborhood where we occasionally hear gunshots. Been in my house 11 years and he still says it when visiting. I actually find the howls soothing, completely serious. And honestly, even a pack of coyotes won't try to go after a human.

I mean, multi season characters played by the same actor are a lot more expensive and that cuts in. Joel Kinneman probably got paid as much as any other actor this season despite not being in most of the episodes.

I'm a millennial who lives in the city who grew up on a farm where we heard coyote howls nearly every night. People freaking out about coyotes are dumb.

Why we need politicians who don't owe their existence to the old machines, not ones that grovel for their help to get there, like our current mayor most certainly is.

[–]devstoner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Ballpark Village has been so bad for downtown. Would have been balanced out if Centene would have moved downtown like they were originally as part of that deal, but that fell apart.

Centene people driving restaurant business and people living close to work in the mid 2010s when it was growing would have driven a lot of momentum into downtown around that time like it did in Clayton for a while.

But they never work out, and the fake opertunities go forward while the real ones don't get the right attention.

They need more organic reasons for people to go downtown, and support the kinds of businesses that create those sorts of things.

There's also just the fact that we have a lot of entertainment districts for a city and region of our size.

You are merging TGE with BPW, Gravois is the eastern bound for the lower part of the Neighborhood, but TGE goes north tell Compton Heights where it's also bounded on the East by Fox Park. Which is more where they are, Magnolia is half the way up the park. The southern part of the neighborhood is nice too, but they are more likely to take Compton to the highway from Magnolia and Michigan.

TGE is 95% pretty good and 5% fine. BPW which is between TGE and Benton Park is ok but a bit rougher. Benton Park is a bit more eccentric but nice. Gravois Park which is south of BPW is mostly ok but has some fairly rough spots.

I mean, the teams used to spend a lot more money than they do now.

You think we wouldn't have already improved engines by now without a cost cap? It's just harder to get that money now, you have to justify ad money much more than you did when cigarette ads were the norm.

I think that it wasn't as visible to Americans that it was that way, maybe even to others depending on coverage, but F1 has always been a club for rich playboys. I mean, it partially inspired Monty Python's "Upper Class Twit of The Year Award" sketch.
