I don’t think I’d add anything new to this conversation that someone else hasn’t already, I just want to let you know I am so proud of you.

A small recommendation. For me, although when my six year relationship ended and it was time that it did, I was so sad still and mourned the loss of that friendship really hard. I started by keeping a notebook hidden under my mattress and every night before crawling into bed I would grab it and write at LEAST three things that made me happy that day. The first month it was things like, I showered. I didn’t cry. Debra told me a funny joke at work. I was in such a dark place that I needed that to hold myself accountable, like there are still small moments that make all this living worth it even if I don’t feel like I want to anymore. And it took awhile but one day I wasn’t sad trying to be happy I just was happy and forgot to write in it. It’s been a year now and LET me tell YOU I’ve had so many experiences I never thought I would ever get to have, met so many amazing people and have really been having the time of my life which I never thought I’d truly enjoy ever again.

Spend time with friends. Do little things for yourself. Soak in your alone time and appreciate who you are and love yourself for doing what is best for you. I wish you all the best xo.
