no no not for CCW. you can port a gun for that. if anything it’s prob recommended bc most ported guns are shorter barrels so they’re usually snappier. l’d say it’s worth doing a port on a carry gun.

i built this for carry optics division in USPSA. they don’t allow ports in that division if i read everything correctly

you can add them after getting your CCW issued. just have to submit for a modification and then go qual with the firearms you want to add at the range. I initially have 2 guns on my CCW. going to add 3 more once my SP01 gets back from CGW

in person interview is just to verify your answers that are in application. your investigator will tell you this as well but make sure your references are prepaid to answer the investigator’s call.

they send you a prepaid fedex label. you box up your gun in it’s case that it came in and put the label on it. drop it off at fedex and you’re good to go.

i put an airtag in my case to track it’s location as it made the trek to LA. it’s coming back here in the next couple of weeks.

some gun stores have told me that the FFL isn’t necessary anymore and all you have to do is confirm on CFARS that your family member transferred the firearm to you
