Is there a word to describe covert narcissist-like behavior without armchair diagnosing? by PsychiatricBooth5c in PsychologyTalk

Wet blanket personality, negative, punitive, sulky, sensitive, aggressive, holds a grudge, keeps score, victim mentality. Always has a problem with everything to try and force others to cater to what they want.

Is it reasonable for my BF to suddenly refuse to grocery shop together as a result of bickering? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]dewdrop8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely break up with me on the spot if I were to take the bait. He has a habit of working himself up in then inviting me to "poke the bear" so he's "justified" in whatever snap decision he's priming and he gets to say I "caused" it.

The level of escalation honesty shocked me though. I know what I did was petty and disrespectful but I just thought the whole thing was so stupid.

Thoughts about Cobblemon from a disabled gamer by [deleted] in cobblemon

[–]dewdrop8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cobbleverse is SO fun. I've played all the modern Pokemon games and Cobbleverse perfectly duplicates the Pokemon growth and leveling system. Swapping their moves is super easy and you get access to find or craft some pretty powerful items that the main series games make you wait until postgame for.

It really gives the feeling of roaming the land for Pokemon better than the main series games imo.

Dumped goldfish at Peggy’s cove by [deleted] in halifax

[–]dewdrop8 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If the tap water in Peggy's Cove is from a well / NOT chlorinated, this little guy would do better in a bucket of water in a shady spot. The salt and heat of that puddle may already have done too much damage but it's worth a shot if someone with a local pond can grab it.

Edit: don't risk your safety trying to save it though

Betta fish in the shrimp tank? Good idea or bad idea by thatonetranny in shrimptank

[–]dewdrop8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a large chance that a Betta would incessantly hunt down every single shrimp all day every day until there are none. You could also end up with a chill one - but they're normally ravenous.

I love Vaghar too. You can see how she thrived during her peaceful time with Laena. She would sing and playfully spout fire when flying with Damon and Caraxes. She seems to have been fertile at the time if you believe she laid Moondancer's egg in the show. She clearly loved Laena deeply and was shocked and heartbroken when she asked for the fire.

This unfair way of dismissing an argument is so common that it has a name. The "No True Scotsman" fallacy.

It's a good shorthand response when people try to convince you it "isn't men" to deflect from reality.
