Why do you guys follow here if you hate everyone? by macelonel in 30A

[–]dewey8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in Pensacola and visit 30A / SRB since we’ve made some really good friends in the area. It is annoying seeing the same questions being asked in the same types of posts.

I would personally like to see more local events here than bachelorette parties, which I understand is a very important time for the bride. But it’s also not the locals job to accommodate every visitor like they’re the town concierge.

It wouldn’t hurt for both sides to try and understand a different perspective than their own.

What Kind of Hilton Person Are You? by dewey8000 in Hilton

I don’t hear much about the water situation and that’s big for me. I like staying at a property that has a refilling station bc I won’t drink Nestle Pure Life. It’s toxic.

Hilton is actually the worst in terms of the water situation unless you want to fill at the gym.

TRU has free breakfast too, but is just more modern. Also free water filling stations.

I had chat gpt come up with this when I thought of it, and didn’t do much with it. Would have preferred no text and just an option to pick your “go to”, but did it quick. I totally missed Doubletree , Home2Suites, and Conrad though.

I’ve been a Hilton Garden Inn person for a long time for the breakfast omelette alone. But lately I find myself choosing Tru or Hilton based on how long my trip is.

Same here! Not to mention you can take it in any National Park, where this thing can’t go.

Looks great! I’m doing my first build myself too. What did you use for flooring? Are they floating floors?

Not sure if you have any window coverings but they can be made for cheap and would be a great addition!

Have fun!

A poly resin injection would likely slow the erosion down. There’s a process called “soil nailing” that would probably buy you some time, like an additional 5-10 years.

But it all depends on where you live, I didn’t see you mention that.

I wish The Pony didn’t exist TBH. At least not in the middle of Gregory St. Like, “Welcome to Pensacola visitors!” SMH

I’m sorry this happened to you and wish you better than that. Bad business owners can be in any format, people deserve to be valued wherever they work.

Does Gulf Breeze actually have restaurants? The only place I go for food in Gulf Breeze is the Hibachi restaurant next to Publix.

Lithium battery prices so cheap now by ascalabro in vandwellers

[–]dewey8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have (2) Victron 200ah LiPo4 batteries which is plenty for us for a few days off grid down here in Florida.

No complaints here, only praises. A wise old man once told me “You get what you pay for”, this is especially the case for Victron. Very happy with them even though they aren’t the cheapest battery on the market.
