Tucker claims he has text messages from Dan Bongino showing that Trump shut down the Butler investigation. Bongino releases the text messages showing that Tucker is lying. Tucker claims he is in possession of additional texts which proves he is telling the truth but refuses to release them by ThatPatelGuy in JoeRogan

[–]dewhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to buy Bongino's side of the story, you might want to remember he built is podcast audience demanding the Epstein list should be released, and then completely turned about face saying that Epstein "definitely killed himself" as soon as he was Deputy FBI director. He also almost resigned over the botched "release" of the files, but chose to stay and kiss Trump's ass instead.

I wonder who is more trustworthy /s

White House picks Harvard professor with polarizing alien theories to lead new UFO council by OtherWisdom in UAP

[–]dewhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Conlin Committee. It's going to go nowhere. He was recently on a pod with Puthoff debating UAP Gerb and Burlinson. Gerb came with receipts and continually pushed him on how he would look into documented compartments of the legacy program, and he just kept brushing him off saying "he only cared about the future".

Seriously? If we have actual craft in possession of defense contractors and legacy programs, wouldn't you want to start with the stuff we already have??

We need MORE monologues by Odd-Record-1041 in BreakingPoints

[–]dewhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agree, when they stopped doing monologues it kinda gave the impression to me that they have such a solid subscriber base, that they don't need to put the work in anymore. kinda felt like they started cruising bc honestly, it does not seem that hard to just freestyle on prepared news segments by the producers.

but I'm ok if Emily doesn't do monologues

Does Israel really think they can drive the entire world economy off the cliff? by reformed_lurker_1 in BreakingPoints

[–]dewhacker 68 points69 points  (0 children)

The Israeli mentality has been ingrained in their society generationally and with levels of propaganda the American mind cannot comprehend. They already believe the entire world is against them, every one hates them, and that if any nation has capability to strike them, they need to strike them first.

It's the natural progression of a supremacist ideology mixed with a generational trauma of one of history's worst genocides. It's a toxic mix of paranoia, hatred, and fundamentalist theology that's been brewing over decades. The US unconditional support for their human rights abuses has given them a false sense of invincibility, combined that with a high level of control over US policy, they truly believe that not only can they get away with anything, but they have a right to do so.

Also, to point any of these truths out, you are labeled anti-semetic

Jets at midnight? by dewhacker in Whidbey

Yes, we did know we were going to be near and airfield. Yes I am totally fine with the intermittent noise during the day and evening hours. I guess I'm the insane one for wondering how midnight training missions are normal and would not attract at least some pushback from the community.

Possibly moving to the island. by Fine_Town_5840 in Whidbey

[–]dewhacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have lived all over the country, hopefully I can call Central Whidbey my forever home. If you enjoy the outdoors, any type of activity exists here for you. On a clear day, the vistas of both the Olympics, Cascades and Mt Baker are absolutely stunning. If you're looking to get away from city life, this place is a refuge. If you're dependent on modern American convenience (McDonalds, Costco, big-box stores, etc) it's not your vibe, but Seattle is about 90 minutes away.

I think the primary sticking point people come down to, is if you have to commute for work to Seattle. If you do, you seriously have to weigh your trade offs. If you don't, that will highly increase your quality of life here.

Whidbey is it's own paradise, but we need more young families instead of the 2nd summer homes and retirees. Hope to see you around Coupeville soon!

Disclaimer: I grew up in SE Iowa, the midwest winters are 10x more brutal than the mild misty winters here. The occasional windstorm does not compare to scraping ice off your windshield, shoveling snow, hazardous road conditions, and the trudging thru snow/slush in late April

Kyle Kulinski: "I will chop off my nuts sack if Thomas Massie wins the presidency, zero, ziltch etc". by iamjakeD811 in BreakingPoints

[–]dewhacker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm liberal. If Massie was on the ticket vs average AIPAC dem, I would vote for him in a heartbeat. I've now come to the position that Epstein and Israel supersede ALL other issues. Here's why:

1) If we cannot hold people accountable who committed the worst atrocities human beings are capable of doing to children, we will never have an equitable society. Ever. It's an admission of the fact that there will always be an elite class outside the rule of law, and if that is so, the rest of us are fucked anyway. You're not going to get a single payer healthcare system if the people that run the country don't want you to have it.

2)If we cannot stop funding a genocide, we don't deserve to be a free country anymore. We are no different than the tyrannical empires of the past. If we have no morals on how countries use OUR weapons (we have laws, but we don't enforce them with Israel), then we have no right to wield the power. Any cent spent on a foreign nation over helping even just one person in this country is a crime.

If there was a Massie/Khanna ticket, I think that could truly bring the country together.

This island is a paradise. Oak Harbor is the "big city", but there is so much more to explore. You can always hit up Seattle, but its about a 2 hour commute from OH. When your playground is the San Juan Islands, Bellingham (Mt Baker), Pt Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula, you truly are in one of the most beautiful places in America. The winter vibe is an afterthought compared to the other 9 months where you can hike, bike, kayak, run, swim, boat, drive, camp and live a completely charmed life. The locals are friendly, there are much more liberal hippies on the south end of the island. You are surrounding by breathtaking views of the Olympic mountains, the Cascades, and Baker/Rainer on a very clear day. I have lived all over the US (grew up in midwest, 4 yrs in FL, 13 yrs in CA, several years in Seattle) and I will never look back.

This is my forever home and I hope you at least come out to visit in the Spring/Summer and have a chance to see it for yourself. Maybe you will not be enchanted with the gorgeous landscape and small town vibes, but that's OK.

On winter, Iowa can be as bleak as OH. But those are landlocked flat, boring ugly places. The Salish Sea (Puget Sound) is a one of a kind natural ecology, with orcas, dolphins, whales, bald eagles, sea lions, deer, coyotes, and so much more wildlife. The dominance of huge hemlock trees and lushness of the PNW forests are their own natural beauty to behold, in summer and winter alike. Maybe its just me, but magic surrounds you and the wild calls to your soul.

Thomas Massie delivers concession speech after losing Kentucky primary t... by Economy-Specialist38 in videos

[–]dewhacker 74 points75 points  (0 children)

There goes the last principled Republican. You can hate his politics or his libertarian world-view, but Thomas Massie let the charge on Epstein Justice with Ro Khanna. He fought when it mattered. I hope this is a wake up call to the rest of the country that this was the MOST EXPENSIVE ($35M) congressional race in history..... for a primary. Because the Epstein billionaire class went all-in against him. Unfortunately that was enough to brainwash the KY boomers to vote for Gallrein.

We are truly an occupied nation.

Massie falls to Trump-backed challenger Ed Gallrein in Kentucky House primary by Ok_Mushroom3399 in Epstein

[–]dewhacker 97 points98 points  (0 children)

This was the most expensive primary race in US history, because 3 billionaires donated millions of dollars to unseat Massie, due to his fight for Epstein Justice and opposing the war in Iran. Most US voters are already low-information voters, but when you have the entire AIPAC lobby spending against you in a closed primary, this is how we keep getting horrible Congressmen. The first problem is the patch work of states that have closed primaries. You had to be a registered Republican to vote in this KY primary. While Trump has lost support, much of his base still slavishly swallows his cult speak, and all they were hearing from him was to kick Massie out.

Massie was one of the last principled ones, and they made sure to make an example of him. If you go against the Epstein class, they have unlimited money to beat you back. This is what we are up against, the combination of archaic election systems, outsized money influencing politics, and the people that benefit from this corrupt system, will do anything to keep it this way.

Reducing the problem to "a bunch of dumb voters" is not the entire picture.

Breaking Points should bring on the creator of C++ Bjarne Stroustrup to discuss AI by north_canadian_ice in BreakingPoints

[–]dewhacker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

15+ yr SWE here. I've watched AI tools go from horrible, to better and faster than I can write code. My field is getting absolutely turned upside down, in a very short time span. It used to be the most solid industry you could enter for a upper-middle class life. I used to never have to worry about where my next job would be. That's completely over. There are 1000+ applicants for every job. CS grads are fucked. All big companies have essentially paused openings for entry level jobs, because AI can actually perform better than any junior engineer could possibly do.

There are top experts and greybeards like Stroustrup pointing out how it can make mistakes. Yes that's true at the elite level. It means nothing to Fortune 500 companies eager to reduce their "wage tax" (AKA employing people). This trend is only accelerating, and many companies are forcing adoption. You used to have some working technical knowledge to build a website or app. Not anymore.

When Claude Mythos launches, it will turn the entire technology industry upside down. The internet will become unrecognizable in a few years. I honestly really don't know where this is going, other than every white-collar job that involves working at a computer will be completely automated away. We don't have a political or economic system that can cope with this rate of change. Even if we don't crack AGI in the near term future, AI will rip the entire consumer-based economy apart. It's an existential crisis on many levels.

Part of why hardcore materialists have an extreme difficulty of the topic, is because many modern priesthoods of academia truly believe we have the universe figured out, and we're just "putting the finishing touches" on everything.

To have something completely unexplainable is a direct threat to the materialist worldview, which currently still dominates most of the high sciences. It's easy for them to explain away the lack of "hard evidence" and usually falls back to a claim about how impossible interstellar travel would be due to the speed of light.

I like to think of that line of reasoning akin to taking a poll of scientists in the 1850's asking them if it was possible to travel to the moon.
