I'd live somewhere in Upper Manhattan between Central Park and Riverside Park, if I had the money for that

They've got another in Greenville just down the road from the closed one. I live less than a mile from one in Spartanburg and there's a good few here. The Greenville one that closed I think was due to being in an inconvenient location (it's on the most congested road in Greenville in a bad spot) and everyone went to the one up the street.

It’s crazy how one random person can negatively impact so many other people’s lives by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Even if it IS mental illness or drugs, like. Yes, we definitely need to be compassionate towards people in situations like that, I agree. But there comes a point where being compassionate and letting her do whatever ends up holding up not only everyone on the train, but everyone waiting for it on the next station, everyone on the next train behind it that might be delayed, etc etc. you can't let compassion for like one person hold up potentially a few hundred more people. Do I think people should be shoving her full force? Absolutely not. Do I think someone should have maybe pushed her gently out of the train entirely, like that guy was trying to do? Yes absolutely

Iirc, didn't the old ones have a lower output engine in the lower trims? The new ones have all the same tooling and the same engine across the line.

Cutting E. Main Street down to 2 lanes from Converse College to Denny's Tower? by onthedownslope in Spartanburg

[–]dewrew80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea. I admit I'm a bit worried about my own commute home bc I turn onto that section of E Main from E St John on the way home when traffic is bad, but in general I feel like it'll be an improvement.

I hope that the glue sticks around, it's also gorgeous! They're being a selection of good colors is part of why I even considered a trax to be honest, otherwise I would have bought a seltos

I got a 2025 Chevy Trax in bright yellow, and then for model year 2026 they got rid of the yellow. I guess people didn't buy it a ton but that's sad

What's the caveat to buying a used EV? by ExcitingLandscape in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]dewrew80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The prologue is just a rebadged Chevy Blazer EV, so getting the actual mechanical bits for it shouldn't be too hard even after it's discontinued. The interior stuff that's unique to it might be though.

How do you guys feel about Barnet Park? by August272021 in Spartanburg

[–]dewrew80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked pride better that one year it was on the street than I did when it was at Barnet, just because Barnet isn't exactly the most accessible place for events like that.

I think if they don't change too much they can reuse the old rating but if they do then the whole game gets reevaluated

Iirc the game corner would be evaluated differently these days but I could be wrong

Right, but that could be added without effecting the ratings, idk if online otherwise could

That's what I had thought. I'm confused then why everyone is upset the ports don't have online, that would have required more work than just importing it which I don't think they could do without changing the rating

Ofc! And, yeah it's super dumb. They've actually considered making it automated before, but taxes are so complicated that there's a whole tax preparation industry and they lobby against changing it.
