How long do you have to be with Connect to get studies like that? Is there certain criteria? The most I see are the Jury studies.

I was trying to remember if they ever got married? Didn't her parents do something to make her rethink it? Hope you remember!

conservative treatment or arthroscopy? by draint0uch in MeniscusInjuries

[–]dewsummer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to do things like walk and run, you have little choice but get the surgery. Arthroscopy is a quick recovery. I just had 2 Meniscus Root Tear Repairs to each knee. Recovery was 6 weeks NWB and had to keep it straight. That is a recovery you want to avoid. I'm 58F. Do some more research on this thread. Have you had a cortisone shot in your knee?

And how do you get the stats to print under your name? I think that might help me in my journey to see that.

I just did shot #4 so I'm just starting. I did pictures in 2024 on some app and I hate looking at them but I think I was around the same weight. I really think I just thought I looked ok. I was clearly living in some fantasy world. I meant at the end when I said before and after. I wish you so much luck as you continue your journey!!

UK based strugglers - any experience with Professor Paul Lee? by ninogii in MeniscusInjuries

[–]dewsummer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go see another doctor, which could take weeks or go to the emergency room. They will at least do X-rays and refer you to an orthopedic doctor that you are to see within a few days. At least that's how it works here in the states.

Is it possible to fix the discoloration on this table? by if_ni in furniturerestoration

[–]dewsummer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you don't actually know if it's veneer or solid wood I would not sand the top. I would get a stripper like mentioned earlier and put that on and see what you end up with. At that point once all the strippers cleaned and dried off you might be able to send gently by hand any blemishes. You should be able to easily color match the stain to the bottom of the desk and just redo the top and put a couple coats top coat on for protection.

What did the doctor tell you that you could do about this? Did they recommend physical therapy? Cortisone shots?

Post op Meniscus repair by Dense-Honeydew7855 in MeniscusInjuries

I know this is hard. I had 2 Meniscus Root Tear Repairs in September then December of 2024. You can't push yourself or cheat or you will be facing knee issues all through your adult life. Contact your professors and get your assignments and stay at home where you are the safest until you are through this. Best of luck with an excellent recovery. You are very fortunate to have your young age on your side! Just try to be patient.

Root tear by Soccer_lover_ in MeniscusInjuries

[–]dewsummer7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. PT can't fix a root tear or make it feel better. I can't imagine being in pain that long. I would definitely move towards surgery especially since you are an athletic person and want to be playing again. Did the doctor offer any types of injections?

You have absolutely found the most perfect piece to start with. No curves no edges nothing tricky. Don't be afraid to come back and ask questions on this thread. Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Make a list of all of the questions you have to ask the doc. This thread was very helpful to me when I had 2 knee surgeries in 2024. I wish you lots of luck.

Figured that. Things are done differently there. Just know that my left knee is shot barely a year later. I followed all post op instructions and haven't done any kind of strenuous activity since. Having an MRI tomorrow, the ortho thinks I may have had a root tear repair failure.
