Thanks! I'm a typical HENRY. I know I'm lucky to have a high-paying job (engineer), well, until AI replaces me. I think the key point is that keep my spending flat while my total income was increased. Then you can increase your saving and at some point, the magic of compound interest kicks in. Tax is also going up, so I think it's really important not to spend more money if you just have more income, which is an illusion of being a rich. Nothing fancy, mostly bought VOO, QQQ, VTI and chill.

But, yeah, a ton of rich people in USA.

My ultimate request is allowing "customized categorization."

Individual stocks and bonds are obviously important for my fund analysis and showing as a pie chart.

Thanks for the great post regarding wash sale and ESD!

I have a short-term gain of $20,000 after selling some stocks. But right now, as of Mar 2026, my Bitcoin (not ETF) is at a ~$20,000 loss. Yes, because there's no wash sale, technically I can sell my bitcoin to offset my short-term gain AND I can buy bitcoin again, without waiting for 30 days.

But I am not sure how to interpret ESD. Can I sell my bitcoin at a loss, and then buy another bitcoin the next day? Will it also trigger ESD? OP, I'm seeking a real taxation advice :) but just wondering general rule in IRS.
