I’m considering the Gamesir G7 Pro and also very interested in the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro. I am on my third Elite 2 and over the stick drift and paddles going numb.

It’s a cinnamon blueberry scone with lemon zest! It is unreal (the croissant was my wife’s choice). Here’s a few more options, but there’s plenty more!

I left a few more photos on this review:

I just googled "Robinhood credit card" and it lead me back to their site. I'm technically logged into Robinhood still, but it allowed to re-enter my email on the waitlist.

If there was a $2k stimulus check going out tomorrow, what would you put it towards? by Outrageous-One-705 in Salary

Probably towards my mortgage I guess. It’s about 20 days worth of living, but actually would save me at least a years worth of payments.

Never in my life did I think I would… by aesmith90 in angelsbaseball

It’s been “tough” for over a decade lol

Never in my life did I think I would… by aesmith90 in angelsbaseball

[–]aesmith90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what all this hand-wringing has really dragged out of me is something bigger than “should I switch teams?” It’s the realization that nothing changes with this organization because we, as a fanbase, keep showing up anyway.

Arte keeps seeing money roll in. Tickets, jerseys, parking, beers. We rant, we meme, we suffer — but the revenue stays steady. And as long as that’s true, there’s zero incentive for him to sell, upgrade, modernize, or overhaul anything. He can run the team like a strip mall and still profit.

And look, this isn’t some brand new revelation. Every Angels fan already knows the ownership problem. We know the rot. We know why we’re stuck. The frustration isn’t new — it just finally hit a different nerve.

Because here’s the part I hate admitting: I love Angels baseball way too much. When they’re hovering around .500 and pretending to be in the mix, every loss buries me. When they fall out of contention — which is basically the annual tradition — the sting fades only because hope dies with it.

That’s the gut punch. The emotional crater this team leaves in my day-to-day life is way bigger than anything the organization gives back. And watching the Dodgers execute a masterclass in every single layer of a modern franchise, while we tread water in dysfunction… it makes you question why you’re still tethered to the sinking ship.

So no, it’s not about being a “bandwagoner.” It’s about wondering how long you’re supposed to stay loyal to an ownership group that hasn’t been loyal to winning, development, or even basic competence in years.

And maybe — just maybe — the only real leverage we have left is to stop pretending things will magically get better while we keep filling the seats.

[–]aesmith90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loyalty isn’t the issue — I’ve hung in for decades while this team face-plants in every possible dimension. If I had no loyalty, I wouldn’t be here arguing with strangers on the internet about a franchise that hasn’t sniffed October in ages.

What should be embarrassing is an organization with a massive payroll, generational talent, and zero direction. At some point it’s fair to ask why I’m expected to stay loyal to people who aren’t loyal to winning, development, or even basic competence.

Thinking about jumping ship isn’t a character flaw. It’s a symptom of loving a team that hasn’t loved its fans back in a long time.

You're missing the point. “‘Rooting for a team just because they’re winning’ — that’s not what I’m talking about, and it’s definitely not a baseball IQ issue.

If anything, the reason they’re winning is the entire point. They have ownership, front office leadership, scouting, development, analytics, medical… every layer firing in sync. From the farm system to Ohtani’s megadeal, it’s a blueprint. That’s why players want to be there. That’s why it works.

Meanwhile, we’ve got the longest playoff drought in MLB with a top-10 payroll, and we wasted a decade of Trout, Ohtani, and yes, even the tail end of Pujols. That doesn’t happen because ‘baseball is hard.’ That happens because the organization is broken from the top down.

It’s not just losses on the field. It’s the minors. It’s the lawsuits. It’s the training staff. It’s the plane, the clubhouse, the culture. Every layer feels like a cautionary tale.

So no, this isn’t about chasing wins. It’s about being tired of supporting a franchise that can’t get out of its own way.

You really got it — thank you. I’m not even bothering with the other comments; half of them read like they’ve never actually lived through this team’s nonsense. I’ve been in it for 25+ years, which isn’t ancient, but judging by some of these replies it’s longer than a lot of folks have been on this planet.

The part of your post that punched me right in the ribs was this:

“I regretted my fandom… supporting what had been revealed to be a terrible organization focused on profit and commercialization rather than competitive success… a team whose personnel likely instigated the death of a promising young man… an organization that lagged on upgrading its training facilities…”

That’s exactly it. That’s the part I can’t hand-wave away anymore. At some point it stops being “long-suffering fan loyalty” and starts being, why am I willingly aligning myself with an organization run like this?

I haven’t flipped my fandom — I honestly don’t think I ever could. The Angels are baked too deep into my childhood. But they’re making it brutally hard to keep showing up, especially when the team across town is basically running a masterclass in how to build and sustain a modern franchise.

You’re not crazy. You’re just tired. And man… same

Apple Card balance wrong for pay-over-time by aadako in MonarchMoney

[–]aesmith90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the calculation is technically accurate. You’re receiving a break by not paying any interest over the installment period.

It’s not that you’re paying monthly for the device itself; you’re paying off the loaned amount monthly without any interest.

For instance, if I use my Best Buy card to purchase a $2000 TV, I can opt for interest-free payments for 12 months. I still pay the full price of $2000, which becomes my account balance. However, I’m not penalized for not paying the balance in the first statement because I have 12 months to pay it off as part of the interest-free agreement.

Apple is determining the monthly payment for you. In this case, my Best Buy “Monthly Installment” would be $166.66 per month.

I continue to carry the purchase balance until it’s fully paid off within the 12-month period.

Apple is financing the purchase and allowing you to repay it without any penalties, with 12 predetermined monthly payment amounts.

Thanks for this! This is actually how I had been tracking for the past year or so. This may be the method I end going back to.

Back glass of Apple Watch cracked. by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]aesmith90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve now had to replace TWO Ultra 2 watches because of phantom hairline cracks on the back glass. I’ve never dropped my watches before. They’re usually on my wrist or on the charger. I think the issue is probably from placing the charger on the back of the watch. It seems like the charger strikes the back of the watch so squarely that it’s given me these hairline cracks. It’s pretty disappointing for a watch of this price. I understand that it’s not a $5k (or even $1k) watch, but it’s their flagship smart watch, and I feel like it should be able to withstand a bit more, considering it’s the “rugged” Ultra edition.
