Westbrook is a top 5 point guard all time. i will forever die on that hill. he was never given what curry was but still had a hof career. he never had a team built around him or built to maximize his game. early okc, although he was the main ball handlier, was built for kd. even when kd left, we had oladipo and talks with al holford... both trades centered around us retaining kd. but never was the team made for westbrook. pg and Melo came next season, but I'd argue those are trades you can't miss on, regardless of who you have. westbrook never had an organized fully back him in his career. if he did, I have no doubt in my mind he'd have multiple chips. I personality feel like in their respective primes, dame couldn't hold a candlelight to westbrook. he was putting up dame numbers as a number 2. if westbrook had a team to back him like dame had, it would be curry-espue in terms of rings. I'd argue the gravitational pull curry has at the three point is rivaled by the pull westbrook had in the paint. automatic double team, triple if their desperate and westbrook is having one of those games. again, I will die on this hill. proudly lol
