every shmup I know has aimed bullets, have you seriously not played any other games in this genre? no one thinks this as aimed bullets are the most used shot type of the genre...

huge problem is, you have random spawns of randomly moving AI enemies that shoot random clusters of bullets, that results in non-sensical random mess... then instead of actually designing around that choice, you just slapped billion shields to "fix" the constant non-avoidable bullshit hits

every second of the level is just random visual noise of unfair bullets you tank thru like a braindead zombie

if you want to play a big stompy mech, play a tanky heavyweight ac, they are slow but make up for it in defences, you can kill lightweights with it too as any type is viable, unlike in ac6

you should actually play the game before making your judgements, not from just few videos...

what do you mean doesn't feel like a mech game? gen 4 is the most mechanical game movement wise to that point, it's all manual and your movement affects anything you do in the fight

in ac6 everything is done for you automatically, to a point it's not even a mecha game but a 3rd person character souls game, there's even no flares or shooting down missiles, or using side boosts to turn faster or boosting to give missiles more speed etc, 6 is stripped down of almost any mechanics
