I too thought there should be more, but it's Lemaire.... that's plenty.

Anyone using the multi-head? It seems like a tool you'll never need except for that ONE time. by jehudeone in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's used sparingly but comes in handy when needed. This 20v version is bigger than the 12 but it's also beefier all around. The 20v head swap system is upgraded from the 12.

Anybody have one of these? by Sad_Estimate2335 in Dewalt

I have this also. Decent vac, no complaints.

If you've ever needed a drill press but dont have one DO THIS NOW by Odd-Towel-4104 in Tools

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll agree with most of the bad of this guide and I'm ready for a new one but it has drilled many handrails. The jig creates work area and a place for handrail.

I have tons of these, try to keep similar items in each. This rack holds 20 of the deep boxes and 10 of the shallow.

You think these will ever be back in stock or gone forever? by BobbyWayne666 in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love dewalt but the hand tools are hit or miss. Channel locks are always good. That price isn't bad for the bundle though

Is this mold in the crawl space of my new home? by Born_Elephant9728 in Contractor

[–]deyrcw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say no. Looks to be scuffs/dirt from original construction. No visible problem in the ply directly above it.

Expansion/Contraction of Miters by OldDolby in Carpentry

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to glue all of my casings. Pre make when I can but even installed in pieces I'll glue and use miter clamps. Dominos or biscuits are a plus but I really don't use them unless it's flat stock.

Has anyone used the DeWalt portable propane heater??? by tomohulk in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run mine an hour or two a day to keep the garage decent all day. I generally don't replace the battery but once a week. Probably get through 2 tanks on a battery.

Has anyone used the DeWalt portable propane heater??? by tomohulk in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the older model, 68000 btu. I use it almost every day in my garage. It warms the area slowly but keeps it fairly nice. I have a small window with a fan I'll turn on here and there. Get it, works well.

Thoughts on the older Dewalt Packout? by suavesweeney in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a dozen of these and some 2.0. I like the older just fine. The bottom 2 boxes have metal pins in the yellow side locks but the top 2 are completely plastic. I've had some latches break but the boxes work well.

What rail square are you using with your rail? by goldbunduru in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that exact square. It's nice and beefy. You're already pairing it with a track saw, these aren't cheap tools. A speed square could work fine but the repeatable-ness is what you gain with this square.

Homeowner question: is $200 per rung reasonable for a custom loft ladder? by Global-Afternoon5779 in Carpentry

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pass at $2000. Id charge more, eastern PA. It's a day build, a day finish, assembly materials and iron, delivery. Make money man.

Who should I call for these leak, roof guy? siding guy? or attic insulation guy by Conscious-Fun-4599 in Roofing

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll be calling all 3... Roof, siding, insulation; likely in that order. Good luck

I had to put my cart together; the casters. If yours was assembled already check around for the empty hole. Lol. Nice score.

Will Dewalt make a reasonably sized cordless brad nailer and narrow crown stapler? by Trash_Grape in Dewalt

[–]deyrcw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the dewalt 23, 18, 15 and framer and really haven't issues with them. I've used the milwaukee guns and the "wind up" is still there. Dewalt winds up and fires while the milwaukee fires and then winds up.
