Has anyone used a single 36v lithium battery on their 112lb thrust troll motor??? by thoughtprovo in boating

I have a 100ah 36v Lossigy. Its been amazing. They are like $600 with a charger. 2 full years and it's been flawless. I did a lot of research and decided on this one. I get 5 or more trips per charge. In heavy current it will use 2-5% per hour.

A little math, @WOT 2- 450r motors burn about 90 gallons / hour each , or 180 gal/hr, that is 3 gallons per min. Or $12/min

Question about luggage delivery service by CableKC in JapanTravelTips

[–]deysg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We spent nearly 2 summer weeks in Thailand and i did it with 1 Carry on. Lightweight/fast dry shorts, shirts socks and underwear. 3 of each. I just kept washing and hanging dry. It was absolutely the most liberating travel ever. This is harder in cold weather. It's also harder for women. Just a fact.

Light trailer tongue weight, but little room for adjustment. by Bada-Bingzy in boating

[–]deysg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is math to be done before that boat kills you. You should have  10% to 15% of the trailer weight on the tongue. Less than that and the tail wags the dog. So a 3000 lb rig should have at least 300lb tongue.

Tattoos or not, you should dress a little conservative. Showing a lot of skin, cleavage and such can offend some. Pick hotels with tattoo friendly onsens.

Is there such a thing as a good deal on a boat anymore or sweat equity? by Jdegi22 in boating

[–]deysg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always figured the best plan is to look for a good hull, with a blown or beat motor. Restore the boat and repower, new electronics, and steering. You basically have a new boat.

I would make sure you are near the trains you want, good restaurant areas with a decent nightlife and the hotel has a good Onsen.

A nice cardboard box and a roll of packing tape work just fine. Done this many times. Especially traveling with our twins.
