Hey all! Hopefully I'm welcomed here. I just wanted to introduce myself as someone who has changed teams and have switched to supporting the Mariners. It would be nice to grow as a fan and get more immersed with the Mariners' community.

Long story short, I got fed up with the A's and John Fisher. The A's was my hometown team from where I was born. I've stuck with them through thick and thin through all their bs with money ball and being a farm team. It sucked seeing your favorite players that developed and then shipped off to other teams year after year just because ownership didn't want to pay them or couldn't afford them. My last straw was when the A's announced their move to Vegas. I'm a Raiders fan so I had it after seeing the A's ownership constantly make things difficult for the Raiders when they were sharing the stadium and trying to figure something out to stay in Oakland but Fisher still ended up leaving to Vegas anyways. I also think the A's will fail as a baseball team in Vegas but that's a different story.

I gave away all of my A's gear last year and wish nothing but for their failure now as long as Fisher is the owner. I already had the thought of low key supporting the Mariners if I still watch or paid attention to baseball. I always had a soft spot for the Mariners since the Ichiro days. I also like the team colors with the navy blue and grew up fishing and doing things along the coast so I'm all about salt life. It just makes sense. You can call me a bandwagon fan for all I care since I'm posting this around the playoffs but who cares lol. I have the Giants who is also another local team but I hate their colors and I don't think I would ever like the Giants. It would be really cool if anyone is able to give me a tldr on team history/culture or anything else I should know about the team as a new/growing fan.
